I am a long time lurker here, but that announcement was the last straw for me on PB. I just registered here and I hope this site stays true to their own vision.

I post the same stuff (smartassery, but serious, hopefully correct, technical comments) here and sometimes there. I mostly get upvotes on my comments over here, I mostly get downvotes on my comments on PB. Nuff said.

I usually shitpost on pinkbike for those sweet upvotes, come here to talk racing and watch proper content. I also lurk on a some french forums in order to steal their team rumours and post them here pretending to be some knowledgeable industry insider Tongue

But are they not making too big a deal out of the pinkibe acquistion, will things really change? They must be making a fair amount of revenue to produce all their shows and commentary.

If they got bought out by a company known to put up paywalls and say 'all our content will be free', it would be a ticking time bomb before the site went paywall. Considering they openly said 'most of the content will be free', I think it's quite clear things WILL change.

If the Vital crew plays their hand right, they´re the next big thing in mtb media.
Bump up those servers, get on those tests, maybe promote your team more and get some respected industry folks/racers/personalities on board.
Oh and get yourselves a Ben Cathro! (Just my 2cents, but i could see Phil Kmetz be a great fit with vital!)

Lonnnnng time lurker and fan of Vital.
Used to rabidly follow the World Cup slideshows when they were a thing, and I watch pretty much every Raw on YouTube these days. Mainly used PB for the buy and sell and skimming news. Always came here for the real scoop. Spomer, can we get "ADVICE" with Charlie going again? I was over the moon when that series got announced, seems it kinda faded out.
