"KISKA has unveiled a revolutionary concept bike featuring a contemporary high pivot layout" Maybe I'm potato, but is there anything in the press release that explains whats revolutionary going on?

Would y'all want to see a 15-minute VitalMTB video with back-to-back testing on a section of brutal rocky chunder with different pedal kickback theories to see if the Ochain really works as advertised?

The clickbait "Loris Trexit" rumor made me LOL, who would actually think he'd sign a 1 year contract and ditch after the relatively good year he's had?

I assumed that after they spent last year using this forum to provide their news stories on team rumours and getting rinsed for it, they decided to get ahead of the curve by making up some rumours that they could fire to teams and have them deny

i agree with what nic said and baron, you're right - we haven't seen the end results and money has to come from somewhere (i have NO problem with paying for DH if the coverage is compared to what we have now). i believe if we have to pay, however, the audience shrinks considerably. i don't think many would disagree with that. discovery is promising bigger/better results and growth of the sport. if there is a paywall, i don't understand how that happens.

9 min mark "we see mountain biking as a huge untapped potential, especially in key markets like USA and europe." = we're gonna try to cash in, realize it's too expensive, ROI is low, shareholders don't like it then bounce before our contract is up.

11:20 "to make some significant changes to the championship and bring them to the next level" This honestly concerns me the most. that they will change the actual sport for TV instead of figure out how to cover the sport that we love.

The problem with "the next level" is that it can be the one below as well as the one above.

i wasn't even concerned with pay-per-view or advertising models, so the "free" topic is out in the weeds a bit, but i understand what you're saying. i also understand that red bull has people who control the purse strings and they've been in and out of MTB just like any other business. high times, with athletes and programs cashing in. times where departments and athletes are cut and let go and they're the devil. this year's WC coverage is proof. way less non-race-day content. can you blame them? UCI cut them out of the broadcasting deal, so uphold their bargain...

Loki87 Added a comment about press release OneUp Announces the Most Compliant E-Bike Rated Bar On the Market

They probably were simply talking about the physical demands of throwing a heavy ass bike around on the trail. They´re easier to go uphill on, but raging down a trail, popping and pumping every root and compression they´re more physically demanding than a lightweight bike on your upper body strength.

Butch. Come on dude. Where did I say anything about Roots and Rain not being a great site. You’re reaching. We’re talking about the fact that Gwins not on the national team. And you posted head to head data against all the other guys on the team to show that Gwin has better racing stats than them. Therefore qualifying him over them. We get that. The problem is, what’s the solution? Does one of the “inferior” guys give up their spot for them? Or does Gwin say, well shit, I F’d up. No spot for me. It’s not a great...

Well no shit he’s got a good résumé on roots and rain. What’s the solution then? Kick off one of the guys that went through the proper channels, been selected and are probably pretty damn excited for the opportunity? i’m not saying he doesn’t deserve to be on the team, but he definitely dropped the ball. He’s the team owner/manager. He hast to know this shit. He’s got himself in quite a sticky situation.
