5/21/2019 10:22am That is the most pathetic thing I think I have ever read by a professional athlete on a public forum. Never mind the hypocrisy of trying to sensor the very media that gives him publicity, he should know that there's no i in team. You look beyond these things and consider how your mechanic helped you to 20 world cup wins instead. I really hope that Hall gave him the go ahead to make the post. You don't jeopardise personal relationships over meaningless stuff like that. A sad day as a Gwin fan. edited to add - having read Aarons...

5/21/2019 10:21am I’m more upset he threw John Hall under the bus. The man is an absolute perfectionist, and there is no way a 3 year old defective part was used on a brand new build. We all know it was a squeaky clean brand new crank provided by ethirteen. Broken parts are a part of racing, call it that and move on. You can’t control the media Aaron. We are curious fans, and comments like that just further distance you from the people support your career.

5/21/2019 10:20am 30 years in this sport and I'm still reading the same BS as it was 1992. Pre-production,defected batch, prototype,my a$$!

Biggest problem would be wear parts such as seals and oil. So you should probably factor in a possible service on suspension and brakes. Other than that, 2014 isn´t too old and should be fine in terms of geometry. Contrary to popular believer even 26" isn´t a problem, given that a lot of manufacturers still release new components, especially tires...

5/4/2019 7:34am Even more so on what seems to be a dry day?!? o.O That said, i´d rock the thing on a rainy park day, as long as it keeps my ass dry.

5/1/2019 11:44am I find it interesting that it has gone to this so quickly. 29ers really only had 1 season where they were largely adopted by most/some of the riders. The fact that they are already trying to change the wheel size again makes me think that the whole 29 thing for DH isn't optimal. IMO, 27.5 is a good happy medium and I wish 29 would die a quick death . It really increases cost of goods due to market size. The riders that have recently done well on the 297.5 or whatever the hell they are calling it, would have...

4/30/2019 10:56am Apparently the dates are overlapping so that plan was probably doomed from the beginning anyways. That´s just what i read somewhere though. I´d say given his start to the season and the hyper competitive field in dh, he´s better off just finishing the enduro season in the top spot and raise his market value in doing so, instead of risking...

4/29/2019 4:02am a couple questions 1. did red bull negotiate this as part of their contract with the uci? 2. is red bull paying for exclusivity on the podium or otherwise? some opinions i would think that the other teams and sponsors involved in the uci dh circuit most certainly would have needed to been aware of this exclusivity that red bull wants. i would presume that you cannot just come in after the fact and say oh by the way we want exclusive advertising rights for the podium. this seems like a pretty cut and dried contractual issue to me. if...

4/29/2019 4:00am Will this carry over to component sponsors as well? This could get interesting! I'm sure someone at the UCI has a Swiss account that the major sponsors deposit into.

4/29/2019 3:59am Without the sport would die??? That‘s bullshit Red Bull came when Downhill was big on Freecaster, Red Bull pays more money, that‘s all. With a lot of bad decisions in the past! Limited Content, one hour brake after the woman’s finals...no Red Bull isn‘t what the sport need. They‘re bring a lot good things of course, but not just good

3/29/2019 7:01pm Bikes are are getting faster, riders are getting faster and some riders are getting bigger, listen to Finn in the Wyn TV after Rotorua he's 20kilo heavier than he was 2 years ago but is now faster, a couple of pounds on a bike won't matter its all marketing so consumers who believe that rubbish keep buying stuff. Sam Hills Nukeproof was like 40lb when everyone else was trying to get their weight as low as possible and he was still beating them. Also a pound or 2 could be lost after after going to the toilet or gained if...

3/29/2019 8:41am Maybe if there were a track that required constant accelerations the added weight might be detrimental, but that doesn't really describe a modern DH track. The same could be said about 29 inch wheels, but the fact that almost everyone has made the move to the bigger wheels suggests more of a premium on maintaining and gaining speed, and a heavy tire while being more difficult to accelerate is also going to hold that momentum once up to pace (much like a 29 inch wheel). I believe it was Graves who mentioned this at Worlds in South Africa a few...

3/29/2019 8:39am Releasing wrong weight numbers for trolling purposes seems like a darn dumb thing to do for a bike manufacturer though, given how obsessed bikers are still with weight. I know they like to troll but...nah, i really don´t think those weights are off

3/25/2019 10:38am The thing that´s weird though is that the frame doesn´t look like a proto. It looks like a production carbon frame. If this was a prototype, fine, but going carbon proto seems rather excessive and cost inefficient. So why build in that top tube mount if it´s not gonna do anything in the end? In the end it seems like...

3/24/2019 12:43pm Interesting. Judging by the lines of the link mounting bracket and the thin toptube it looks like a carbon frame (just speculation), but that damper mount screams prototype. That long mount doesn´t look confidence inspiring at all. Really weird bike indeed. My money is on some sort of proprietary shock. Wasn´t the upper shock mount on the toptube on the...
