She most likely just isn´t really fond of all the redundant pedalling in between timed stages. That´s what i personally dislike about enduro as well.

9/17/2018 1:36pm It´s also literally the only way for a company like YT to "safe face" after loosing Gwin (If that was to happen), the narrative being something like "we didn´t loose our super champ, but we instead acquired a future champ in womens racing as our new top rider". Would probably work out rather well for them from a marketing perspective...

When a perfectionist, super elite athlete like Gwin talks about needing to get a better feel for his bike, we have good reason to believe him. He finished 1.5 seconds back from Bruni. We're not talking about a sucky run here. We're talking about the minute difference in pushing too hard and railing a turn and pushing tooo hard and losing traction. Thanks for leading my feet back to the ground. Even when blue is the corporate Canyon color, this last week were at least 5 new bikes which were black with the same shade of blue accents. And the previous month, there were another 5. I find this really worrying. Bikes used to have personality beyond what Pantone says should be the color of the season. Santa Cruz seems to be picking up their color palette from the bargain bin at their local hardware store, but at least they are diverting from the rest of the corporate graphical design pack.

I strongly disagree. I think it was a nice change of pace and really lets us see the difference between riders and their different lines. While i agree the "old" format was more action packed, this is a welcome addition to prepare for sunday because it gives much more insight into the intricacies of each section of track, which rider looked strong on which part etc. and therefore adds nicely to the limited camera angles that are available on raceday. It also isn´t as overwhelming as the usual raw rapidfire if you´re interested in track details, because you don´t need...

All this has been seen before in the Crusty Demons series. And there it was much more enjoyable. More down to earth, yet jumps were still much crazier. This was so overproduced i dunno who thought that was a good idea.
