is there a display screen on the handlebar? (there should be). what, if any, error code is it throwing? ( https://www.shimano-steps.com/e-bikes/north-america/en/faq/troubleshoot…- ). a quick google has shown EP8 failures aren't exactly uncommon. i would try emailing shimano directly. if its new as you stated it should still be under warranty.

interesting concept. i'm assuming its just a 3d printed mockup. would be curious to see how much the design changes after FEA, testing, and manufacturability analysis.

I was the Coulanges mechanic for 4 seasons at the start of the Dorval team and I don't think he is ready to change structure for the moment even if his results are getting better and better ! Dorval team staff are very professional now and they are one of the "smallest" of the big teams. i'ts perfect to confirm level and confidence before going to an international structure later ..

I had a severe concussion as a teenager, and long rest lying in bed with no TV, music, books etc for a two weeks was my recovery. However ten years later I started to forget where I placed keys, phone etc. It wasn't gradual, it just started one day. Doctors said it was a result of that concussion and it's typical. Burnt once, twice shy I always try to limit the risk of this happening again. So I go for the best helmet that fits my head and train to be fit as possible to limit the number of crashes...

Hey Guys, another update. Austin was one of the first people I called after getting hurt. We're buddies and talk/ride together fairly regularly. I let him know what was up and wanted to confirm that he was staying in Europe for the next month like I thought he was. He's racing Maribor this weekend and isn't planning on coming back home until after the WC in Switzerland next month either way. That was good news as he's easily ready to go if I pull out. I also contacted USAC to make sure they get him everything he needs to compete...
