Well, the cat's out of the bag now, Vital MTB is making the bold move into bike manufacturing and we're coming in hot with the EVO model right off the bat! That's right, we didn't even bother with making a regular model, it's straight to the EVO gnar for us! We're taking name suggestions at present, "Dire Cheesecake" is currently the front runner but "Stern Cupcake" is quite popular with some staffers as well. Get yours while supplies last (aka "before they all snap in half just sitting there in the warehouse" LOL...obviously this is a joke, we're not making...

unless things have changed in recent years, cogs for track bikes are designed for single speed chains, and are too large to work with chains for geared drivetrains. geared chains (9/10/11/12spd) are too narrow and likely will not properly mesh with the teeth on a track cog. edit: it seems like 3/32 track cogs are widely available, and might work...

Fully agree. and back then you couldn't just post up video on IG or YT to get coverage. To get in those videos took being asked and I would say even more skill. There was less opportunity then and Strait proved himself first and was in. He didn't have videos of him on push bikes around whistler village and the same influences of constantly seeing what could be done in front of him. This is in no way taking away from Goldstone, but I think Strait fully deserves that credit.

yup. i remember his first massive suicide no-hander at rampage was a pull out poster from one of the magazines at the time. it's important to remember what media was in the context of the era he came up in. and it was drastically different than riders coming up today.

i'd argue there is very little difference because strait WAS in the most viewed videos and media forms available during his time. he was as "visible" as jackson and was at the top of dirt jump, slope, slalom, freeride and world cup DH in his day. strait did it all and was shown in every way possible, no different than jackson today.

this is my first hearing of these rumors, but one thing to point out - he is 17 and is a minor (at least would be in the US), legally I believe he would require a parent to be cosigner on any contracts. just a thought that at least until he's 18 he likely needs his parents involvement.

Johnny Waddell was the first Santa Cruz Syndicate rider with a Red Bull helmet if I recall correctly. And if you don't know who he is, google "Kranked 5" and learn yourself.

if it's still not holding air, i'd maybe try a different sealant if you have any, beyond that it sounds like it might be a warranty issue.

depends on the wheel size. per the maxxis website, all versions of the 29" DHR2 are TR. All the 27.5 DHR2 are TR, with the exception of the older 3C and ST (super tacky) compounds, which are also both wire beads (and are also the WT designation for Wide Trail for 35mm rims) the only 26" DHR2s that are available...

koretzky still has a year on his contract with kmc-orbea (through end of 2022). he did sign with a road team, and last I was aware there hasn't been any resolution on that conflict (at least nothing i can find publicly at the moment).

i'm sure 12 spd di2 is being worked on for xtr, as historically when they roll it out to an mtb platform its done after its launched on a road platform - as was just done with the new dura ace di2. whether or not they'd do an all new xtr grouppo (eg M9200) or simply add it to the...

Guys... just get a bottle of Bionol when they are back in stock. Compatible with all the mineral oil brakes. ;-) https://trickstuff.de/bionol/?lang=en And some major german webshops usually have it as well. I had a 1000ml bottle and used it on every mineral compatible systems (Magura, Shimano, Formula, Rotor) without any problems at all.
