5/21/2019 12:46pm Exactly, the criticism of it being posted is childish and petty. Especially when it's the same outlet that has given so much favorable coverage to Gwin over the years, all the way back to the Yeti days. Its a cell phone video from a public race. It wasn't someone flying a drone over a wall and getting video from a secret test session.

5/21/2019 8:23am Exactly. The professional response to this would have simply been "it's racing, these things happen". Throwing people under the bus and making excuses just looks bad.

5/21/2019 8:23am I’m more upset he threw John Hall under the bus. The man is an absolute perfectionist, and there is no way a 3 year old defective part was used on a brand new build. We all know it was a squeaky clean brand new crank provided by ethirteen. Broken parts are a part of racing, call it that and move on. You can’t control the media Aaron. We are curious fans, and comments like that just further distance you from the people support your career.

5/21/2019 8:21am Thought it was interesting he came down to "internet peasant land" (that's what I call it) to defend the product and ask Vital to pull the post. Part of me understands this. Part of me goes "cmon dude, that is overstepping a line you don't have control over". I understand he wants to be a good business partner for his sponsors. I understand he wants to put his best foot forward. But I'm not so sure I like him trying to pull strings to keep things hidden that really aren't that big of a deal. Reminds me of how he...

One of the first ebike edits were someone doesn’t look like they are on an ebike. Doesn’t mean I have to like them.

5/1/2019 10:03am from what i've heard that bike is just a 1 off, no solid plans to return to production. also that frame was ridden prior to heat treatment.

4/24/2019 7:20am My take is. The damper is based on the frame which is constant. The leverage ratio on the spring can be changed to suit the style track without effecting the frame leverage ratio on the damper. Actually really simple and very clever. Stock damper ? I don't the the spring carrier has anything in it or very little, or just a bump stop.

4/23/2019 3:26pm By the looks of it when you run one shock, it goes in the downtube. You've gotta hand it to Cannondale though, they certainly live outside the box. 2Stage had a DH bike back in the day that ran two shocks but with a completely different concept. They had one shock for small bumps and one for big hits. Foes also comes to mind. The thing I like about the Cannondale is that their goals seem to be about improving the entire suspension package not just modifying a bike to work better with an existing product.

4/23/2019 3:01pm In watching the video they are saying in can be run in a single shock mode. In one of the spots of the video you can see a single shock in the lower mount.

4/23/2019 11:53am interesting. overheard in the video that it allows them to tune the leverage rate for the spring and the damper separately.

4/11/2019 6:42am interesting. i've been speculating for a while that now that they have a new XTR out, saint would be next. M820 was released in 2012, and since then, all the other MTB platforms from shimano have been updated (some of them twice). although it'll be interesting to see *what* actual updates are made. switch from 10 to 11 speed spacing...

3/29/2019 8:16am Maybe if there were a track that required constant accelerations the added weight might be detrimental, but that doesn't really describe a modern DH track. The same could be said about 29 inch wheels, but the fact that almost everyone has made the move to the bigger wheels suggests more of a premium on maintaining and gaining speed, and a heavy tire while being more difficult to accelerate is also going to hold that momentum once up to pace (much like a 29 inch wheel). I believe it was Graves who mentioned this at Worlds in South Africa a few...
