Dylan Added a new Feature How-To: Send Jumps and Drops

1/4/2022 5:37pm
Contrary to popular belief, there is more to jumping your bike than just riding fast and pulling up. It's a fundamental skill that comes in handy even if you’re not planning on sending Fest Series...

The Loosefest line consists of some of the biggest jumps in mountain biking and Nico Vink and the crew are not afraid to go big. Courtesy of social media, take a look through the eyes of Nico Vink...

Dylan Added a new Feature How-To: Crush Corners Like Our Favorite Pros

1/4/2022 5:18pm
Going fast in a straight line is easy. Finding the right balance between speed, braking and body position when cornering takes a little bit more practice. The importance of cornering cannot be...

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic I don't like the direction of modern trail building

I'd like to take an unpopular position for a moment to defend flow trails. Flow trails aren't inherently bad. In fact, I can think of a few flow trails I've ridden that are phenomenal. Whoops in Bend, Crank it Up in Whistler, and Silky Johnson at Sol Vista/Granby are all machine-built flow trails with no mandatory jumps, and all three of those trails can entertain an absolute beginner or a WC downhill pro. Seasoned pros have come to Whoops and broken wheels or ripped tires off. Flow trails don't have to suck. I think what we're really complaining about here...

Dylan Added a reply to 2021 Mountain Bike Team Rumors

10/13/2020 11:00pm
Here's the aforementioned instagram post with the new Jekyll/Judge/Whatever. Wasn't one of last years main rumours that Jack Moir was off to Cannondale until they canned the idea of a DH team at the last minute? It would be a bit of a backflip to then release a new DH bike with zero presence on the WC circuit.

Dylan Started a new thread 2019 UCI World Cup Downhill Tech

9/17/2019 6:51am
Now that team rumours are officially over and the first round of the World Cup is still a couple of months away it must be time to start speculating over the bikes and tech getting raced in 2019. Will Loic Bruni cave to the big S and show up to round 1 on their new 29er? The new 29er was...

The Welsh hills provide the perfect playground for the Fabric crew to join us for a day sessioning the popular and hidden lines at Revolution Bike Park. With slopestyle rider Tom Isted and legendary BMX rider Mike 'Jersey' Taylor making the trip, it was all smiles. Warming up on the jump line, the boys quickly got into their rhythm. Sending flips and sneaky gaps before ducking down into the woods for some technical trail smashing and bashing. The afternoon brought a session in the well-hidden quarry overlooking the bike park. The boys took to sending some jump lines which brought...

Dylan Added a new video Remy Morton's South Island Shred Tour

5/6/2019 2:55pm
At the end of March, the first round of CRANKWORX 2019 was held in ROTORUA, New Zealand. Joining COMMENCAL in December 2018, Australian rider Remy Morton participated in one of his first competitions wearing his new colours. We were present at the event and so decided to profit from our stay to better discover the Islands and spend a few days riding with Remy himself. For a week, we travelled with him to legendary spots in New Zealand, COMMENCAL offices in Christchurch and its beautiful Adventure Park, through the hills of Wanaka and Skyline Queenstown. It was on Rude Rock...

Dylan Added a new video In The Blink: Episode 4 - Community

Ask almost any mountain biker what they enjoy most about the sport and they'll likely give you the same answer: riding with friends. The short-of-breath chats on the climbs, the hoots and hollers of a joyous descent, cracking a beer and toasting to a good ride while kicking back on the tailgate. These are the moments that define us as mountain bikers, when we enjoy the connection to each other as well as the environment around us. They're also the moments we sought to capture in the Community segment of Return to Earth

Dylan Added a new video Luca Cometti Rollin' on Home Turf

4/30/2019 11:39pm
For some people home doesn't always have the best trails. Luca Cometti is not some people. Littered around San Diego you'll find pump tracks, slalom tracks, and flow trails. Plus if you're like Luca and have the hookup you've also got Strait Acres, Kyle Straits personal compound.

To be fair I did say overall and the seasons not over... But yeah I concede, I was banking on Bruni not being a hypocrite. The real question now is will any teams scramble to have a mullet bike ready for Fort William like after the Syndicate dominated qualifying in Lourdes on 29er's?

From the couple of Instagram stories I've seen and a quick google of the weather it looks like it could be good racing conditions. Purely internet speculation though

Dylan Added a new video Qualifying Did Not Go to Plan for the Syndicate

For the first time in his 20 year career Greg Minnaar misses out on the main show after some unexpected rain made the track lethal, leading to a crash and a twisted front end... putting him back in 63rd place. Loris kept the dream alive with an amazing 5th place, keeping it upright amongst the chaos. What will tomorrow bring?
