The patent refers to the uninterrupted seat tube that is placed at a 55-65 degree angle. Not sure they can even get this to court. This patent is a joke and the fact that they asked for a jury trial is laughable. Something doesn't add up.

i'm curious too, but the line we were given was that USA wanted 160 forks on all bikes from the get-go, but it prob wasn't going to happen. then, at the 12th hour, it did happen. someone on youtube comment "europe got robbed" - haha, so funny and seems kinda true.

finally one that will fit my mattoc. edit: does the plastic carrier work with the multi tool from the original EDC? the listing for the lite seems to imply that, and mentions that extra carriers can be purchased for $15. I have the original EDC, if it works with that tool I'd rather just buy the carrier itself, but can't seem to find it. update: got a response from oneup. the plastic carrier will work with the multitool from the original EDC, and the plastic carrier is listed under small parts for the EDC. currently out of stock, but they...

i remember hearing Neko on a podcast last year (i wanna saw it was Downtime - sorry spomer!), in regards to domestic racing and the pro GRT; he was talking a lot about this - how difficult it is for US racers to make that step to WC level in regards to the points requirement. i remember him acknowledging how it seemed counterintuitive to have so few Pro GRT races, but that it was part of a longer term goal to build the series back up.

Well said. A few years ago I got 5th at US Nationals and qualified for my first World Cup. I now work my ass off as a traveling nurse- often on call and overtime and get usually get up at 5 am, train, and then go work a 10 hr shift. Not at a desk. In surgery. Lifting more heavy things. Running down hallways. All so I can can afford to fly myself to any World Cups I’m able to qualify for. Where I am my own driver/mechanics/chef/trainer/mental coach/unexpected catastrophe solver. Another issue: the UCI should take a look at how the FIS handles the comebacks of injured skiers. As far as I know when injured skiers come back they are in an "insured state" for a couple of races where they can keep their pre-injured starting position. So something like with Myriam Nicole should not happen. She was former World Champion, is current Vice World Champion but was not allowed to participate at A practice. I assume she was not protected, so a mechanical or crash in qualification would have taken her out of the race. I further assume such...

While I agree with your sentiments on UCI giving close to zero f*cks about DH, it can be argued that without Redbull, UCI could very well reduce DH even further or remove it from overall broadcasts. With all it's faults, Redbull has done a lot for our sport many other potential sponsors and even UCI have dismissed.

That’s what the bull does. Spend a bunch of money in some extreme sport and then get into a position to dictate terms. The fact that their media house is who we have to rely on for race coverage sucks to no end. The fact that the uci let them in tells you everything you need to know about the uci and their feelings towards dh.

If you're 220 pounds and you're folding tires, just take the weight penalty and ride the proper tires. Bike weight is not as important as the industry tells you, and you'll get used to the extra weight if you choose to not dwell on it during your rides. I'd recommend at least DD tires front and rear, with inserts added if you're denting rims or still rolling your rear tire. I weigh 190 pounds and live in the rocky part of Washington, and I used to be fast once. I run DD front and DH rear, and I wouldn't go...

10/16/2020 9:44am if they're working on a new drivetrain, they're working on new brakes. the only times i can think of that shimano hasn't revised the entire platform is when they introduce the di2 drivetrains. and the occasional pedal.
