Very cool video guys. The Runt is a solid product for sure. However, I would respectfully disagree with a lot of the assertions made in this particular post:

What we would say is that for a rear shock, the coil is a really great option. Rear...more

Why only 4 stars? By the review it looks like a 5 star product.

This is impressive; local manufacturing, less toxic and recyclable. I hope this proliferates. Looking forward to a review.

Might be a scam when you are shipping your plastic to another country and it just ends up in the ocean. I think controlling the process and actually seeing the material used to create new products is a little different. Seems they are on to something IMO.

Clean Air is also a scam. So are babies and volcanoes. I heard the earth is actually flat also.

It's in large part due to Maxxis EXO+ and DD tires. The Assegai 2.5WT EXO+ is 1,125 g and the Aggressor 2.3 DD is 1,115 g. That's a whopping 2,240 for the pair. Take about a pound off the bike weights for a slightly different tire spec in an EXO version (DHR or...more

I think there is a big difference between a classic 120F-120R Trailbike and a modern one with 140F-120R. It's not just the fork, when you have All-Mountain geometry, All-mountain tires, and All-Mountain weight you have an All-Mountain Bike with a bit less travel...more

^this - like the vid said, for pumpy, fast, flowing terrain, the aggressive 120mm bikes shine. 160mm bikes aren't as playful in such terrain. actual XC bikes (or downc&%$try) aren't there in the geo department or "stoutness" either. seat tubes are often to...more

Sorry, but no.

This is the same old adage of people going "VPP has this type of leverage ratio curve (the upside down U)". As we've seen in the current crop of VPP bikes, this is not true. There is a reason the engineers at SC designed the old VPP stuff this...more

Eh, I'll disagree with that. While it is somewhat progressive in the first part of the travel, the ultimate leverage ratio curve is one that is fairly linear by today's standards.

What this means is the bike will be somewhat supple off the top while holding the...more

Well, if you can't polish a turd you may as well sprinkle some glitter on it.

Your comment makes no sense. Preload does not affect spring stiffness. Plus it's difficult to put a preload air chamber onto a coil shock.

Hey Lee,

One question, did you pay for the fork? Any relationship with the company in question?

Having ridden one I can't fathom ever picking this fork over a normal fork in the 150mm+ application. In certain trail settings (120mm), I could see it being a cool alternative depending on...more
