LTrumpore yeah duh, I brainfarted. Yes, you're right that cable tension doesn't prevent a derailleur from moving inboard during an impact. Thanks for clarifying that. Regarding the new cassette shift patterns, it seems like they basically did the same thing with the new T-type cassettes that Shimano did with Linkglide. Instead of enabling shifting under load at any point in the cassette (like a Hyperglide+ cassette and chain), the shift will only happen at certain intervals in the cassette where shift gates are located. This means the shift is slightly delayed, but super smooth, which might be why every review...

Wait. So SRAM made transmission so that it’s only compatible with their new 8-bolt crank and sprocket? WTF!?!? So those of us who already have staple components like ee wings won’t ever be able to run this. Perfect.

This looks like a good solution, but is it a solution to a problem that Sram has created? The wildly expensive derailleur hanging out there?

@Jonathon Simonetti Very comprehensive review, thanks! But here comes the most important question IMO: Does it actually shift any better than Shimano Deore XT or XTR?

New Neuron on Quinney's profile. Seems the only real difference is headset cable routing. Chew my fat one Canyon.

Wasn't the Hazzard Air due to be released for a while now? Were there setbacks in the development process? As for the Demo: https://i.imgur.com/d3uxQVn.jpeg My 2 cents. I'd say there's a rocker in front of the BB that is being pulled on by a link going under the BB and compressing the shock. And the pivot for said rocker is covered by the (lime marked) plastic side covers. This picture also pretty much confirms that the lower bolt we've seen in the pics under Finn can definitely not be a main pivot as the chainstay would hit the BB under...

Green light on Bruni's bars is the suspension mode system. Green more open damping, no light is more closed or firm damping. It was used on the older Demo in latter part of last year (including Worlds win). The light is on a stack that has the mode button on it. Plenty of photos of it if you google search. I saw it in person when he came here to the US for Snowshoe.

Two-year old news. It's an electronic lockout for the rear shock.

Looks like the cover is off. A distinct lack of side-profile photos and weird cropped photos.

The FD'ers were pretty bad. At the shop I worked at in College, we would use the rotor trueing tool on the FD cages to bend and shape them to operate better.

Tell me you're a sram employee, without telling me you're a sram employee: "AXS reverb on 2 different bikes" Kidding aside, if sram didn't make that 1x push, shimano would have us all on 4 chainring setups right now. But let's also be honest that sram really did the 1x push because they couldn't make a well working ft der if their lives depended on it!

I get what you're saying, but even Ford and Chevy refer to "the new F150" or "the new Silverado" in their marketing materials, which proves that no one in the world actually treats these model names as if they're real names for people. They're object identifiers. I'm not the Charlie, and the Loic Bruni didn't win senior men's world champs last year, but Loic did win on a Demo 8 with the Ohlins DH38.
