Canning the 5th overall for "performance expectations" seems like a bullshit line. Also, I don't think a rider expecting to be paid rises to the level of "demanding." What more could they have asked of her? She performed well.

Top 3 overall. Podiums at multiple rounds. More social media presence. Who knows? They do. Brands expect a ROI, this is especially difficult in sport that increasingly less people watch or care about. She certainly won't alone in not having a ride in '24.

it's honestly hilarious that a complete move to e enduro would even been considered. On race day the e bike races are an extreme side show to the actual race, which in turn is a sideshow to the dh/xc races. no racing fan has ever given a shit about e-bike racing, even with the proliferation of ebikes these days

It's 100% the UCI not wanting to lose the rights to what could very well become a huge race format as more and more people buy mopeds. They are just interested in having the whole pizza rather than fighting for a slice. If it doesn't pan out... Fuck it, and move on just like what they are doing to the EDR currently. Spent the weekend with a high level US Pro rider and got a little insight into the Yeti DH development. 2025 looks to be the target date for a full blown WC DH program.

can 90% confirm no EDR in 2025 as it will all be E-EDR. DH will be top 15 teams only. Fees went through the roof to register for '24. A trade team is now 11,500 Euro and a non-trade team will be 5500 Euro.

There is a local dude here who uses a stem mounted wahoo, couple of GPS watches and an iphone and records them all on strava, each will have discrepancies which will ultimately give him one device with a best time (usually the phone) There was a rumor that on one trail, there is a tricky chute/corner at the end, he literally took the wahoo off and threw the thing to the end of the segment to skip the feature lol
