After all the uncertainty around the future of enduro racing, I felt the need to create a new forum topic just around enduro racing, the enduro world cup and all other things enduro, because we all love enduro don't we?

Now I’m hearing that riders are even more pissed because they ended up not enforcing penalties for missing liaison cutoffs. So some people were redlining to make it. Others dropped out because it was too hard to make it. And at the end of the day, those who just pedaled leisurely and didn’t try to make the cutoffs suffered no penalty? Anyone have the story on this?

To be fair, it seems I've seen this on a few racer recaps so far. It seems like the time gaps between stages were too tight for a lot of people to even make the stage start. Not that we'll ever know with non-existent coverage.

I think you're pretty much dead on, except point 1 should say something about added synergy and removed redundancies. Why pay the money to support a whole another streaming service when you can, dissolve it and roll it into your "flagship" streaming services? Think of all the money you can save by laying off the tech and support staff, the content editors, and all the supporting roles of a streaming platform and just keep the brands and a few names people know. Oh and would you look at that, we now have a bump in subscribers! Synergy up, redundancies down...

I just finished listening to a French interview with Laurent Delorme (Specialized's DH team manager) on the "En roue libre" podcast, and have noted some details on how the transition to Warner Bros happened : -There was a call for proposals by the UCI to see who would get the diffusion rights of MTB races, and RedBull lost it to Warner Bros. It seems to me that there's a lack of proper journalism in mountain biking i.e. who's asking ESO, Discovery etc the difficult questions given what Discovery's investment was supposed to bring to EWS.

Pretty disheartening to see all of these athletes without a ride but to be honest I’m surprised any brands are fielding an EDR team at this point. Zero coverage last year and sounds like 2024 will be its last season. Why would you pump cash into a sinking ship? Separately I wonder how old Chris Ball is feeling about all this? Yes probably not too badly on his big pile of cash but there must be some conflicting emotions seeing as EWS was his baby for an entire decade.

I don't think she is flaming them. There's no invective. Sounds like she is simply saying what happened, and if that reflects poorly on Yeti I think that's Yeti's problem. Canning the 5th overall for "performance expectations" seems like a bullshit line. Also, I don't think a rider expecting to be paid rises to the level of "demanding." Maybe that's not how you meant it.
