Among other things being discussed here, I can even try to sharpen Occam's Razor even further and say... None of the platforms I know of that get great views spend time and effort trying to prove and promote to you that they are getting great views. (kinda like the 'nice guys never need to tell anyone that they are nice' concept) Another thing is, I dunno what youtube formats are like in other countries, but if they were smart they'd just use youtube as their paid platform... BUT that can't happen because they actually just bought it as a gateway/sampler...

Hahaha "They are claiming their paid channels have significantly more views than the highlight shows on the most popular (and free) streaming platform in the world." @sspomer, well put. I agree, this reporting seems off. Anecdotally, most people I know now ONLY watch the highlights because its free. Which is a shame because the racing has been bonkers these last few years.

Why are you saying that's wild? That's the go-to setup for Maxxis World Cup DH riders in dusty/loose stuff. Once the new DHF is more widely available, that will change a bit since it has better braking the the HR3 but can still punch deeper and better than an Assegai.

Narratively I think it makes sense, all these geo tweaks are downstream from one another. At least that’s what happens when you design bikes largely guided by market feedback instead of just testing things. Has any bike company been as vindicated as Geometron?

What would you propose? Like 250 - 200 - so on? I think it's worth noting Loic made up some extra points in qualifying and Jackson arguably lost a bit in qualifying on the season, considering his dominance. Jackson kinda flubbed the first 3 events in terms of qualifying. Loic has only flubbed one qualifying round, in Leogang. A Q1 win can earn 50 points. Loic has a 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, and a 16 in qualifying. Haven't been able to ride as much as I'd have liked, but absolutely no regrets so far! Feels like the first ever bike to fit me properly and doesn't ride as long as it actually is. Does feel big in slow tight turns, but has loads of grip to just pop up high. Mostly ride steep UK tech but I can see it being very good in fast chunk and bikepark stuff.

Blast from the past; Things Alex Morgan was working on in 2001 (ish) -Carbon Fiber DH Bikes -High pivot DH Bikes (w idler) -Dual shock high pivot DH bikes (variable axle path) -Lugged design so he can make changes quickly -29" wheels on DH bikes (2004 ish)

Was the little secondary spring damped or free? (Is that a damping adjustment knob sticking out the front?) Even if this discussion is not really either rumour or innovation, the last couple of pages are fascinating and one of the reasons I subscribe to the thread.

I've been noticing a lot of pedal kickback riding my trailbike equipped with a Pike Ultimate. I didn't know how to describe it besides "when the fork goes into compression I crash a lot more often." Who knew that the fork lowers were directly tied to the cassette? I know I didn't. But it explains all my crashes. THAT is probably why I'm crashing all the time, right? Right? Definitely not a skill issue.

You're dead wrong. No other live competition stops for cameras. Complete disservice to the 20 other riders who laid their lives on the line for a time. No one's making Jett Lawrence pull off track if we can't see LaRacco's Leap!!! This is yet again WBD being the worst of the worst. Final result has 6 riders from pre-rain, Vergier's course designer outlier miracle run & the rest post rain after they "postponed" the race. WBD fokked our sport again yesterday for their own greed.
