They're still not the most powerful brakes on the market though... They're also heavy af, have a heavy lever pull and are ugly. It's all just marketing from SRAM as per

No one here actually said anything even remotely close to what you’re saying. But you have highlighted my point that Sram users cannot bear to hear anything negative about their components… even when Sram themselves quietly release an update to improve them. Literally every review has commented on the Maven levers being heavy. They’ve also ALL said that it’s not an issue and you get used to it, so why get so butthurt and try to deny it?

I refuse to be gaslit into believing that a heavy lever action with a super strong bite point isn't a recipe for disaster

Well yeah you dared to share a negative thought about Sram 😅🤷🏽‍♂️ It such a contrary thinkg that all of a sudden a heavy lever is seen as a positive. Lets get rid of power steering and bring back heavy clutches in cars too 😬

It's really funny that SRAM's sponsored elite riders are going for a setup that's less bitey with a lighter lever feel, because I got downvoted to hell on the other site for saying that the initial heavy bite was a bad thing.

So Sram are playing with a lighter pull setup... Even though "everyone" swears blind that the heavy pull is the bESt thINg EvAr. This U-turn is nearly as funny as the "we will never make a mineral oil brake". They would make an incredible political party with plays like this.

Coulanges, the name you are looking for is Coulanges. He rides a bike for a living. Colognes. You wear those on the body to smell better. Know your French.

I’m stoked for this one. I think we are in for a truly iconic track. The trail crew clearly put a lot of passion into making it sweet, and they got a lot of rider input which I think is important because the riders play the biggest role in the narrative of the weekend. If everyone is hyped about the track, the overall vibe is good. It also looks dumb steep.

Sure would be cool if tire companies did a run of tires like the racers are on (example- the super duper softs that the Conti peeps are racing on)! Dunlop released the Factory Spec tires in the moto world which has been awesome. Id buy some some of these proper race spec tires in a heartbeat

The cam for a firmer bite point has me extremely interested. Glad to see they’re still DOT. I’m getting more and more mineral oil brakes and I find them annoying. They’re not the massive improvement that people claim. I can get DOT fluid anywhere at any time (you can even take some from your car reservoir if you’re in a pinch), I don’t want to buy your special flavor of baby oil that you colored purple or some shit. I also hate cleaning up mineral oil. DOT fluid is a bit nasty, but it’s soluble in water so it just...

Needle's argument of "Well pro surfing and golf don't put Junior categories along with the Elites" just doesn't hold an validity to me. DH is unique and it's own exciting event so just stop with the comparisons. F1 is hardly the ideal form of motorsport; corruption (MBS), insane cost, green washing, ruthless team politics, etc.. Hardly a good example to aspire to for such a niche sport propped up by a few independent media and the Youtube feeds of the riders themselves. I get trying to increase exposure, but gutting the sport to get to 1hr broadcast package for corporate...

I actually like the Q1 + Q2 format now. It seems that it raised the level because now everybody gets his chance to enter finals. They are all fast ass hell. In the same time it becomes more like DH skiing, everyone is spectecular and so it is just a nuance of skill and mental game that decides between win and hospital. I am not sure it will benefit the sport. What I do not like is that WB abolished the free brodcast of the finals. So I only look the the highlights. I am only one person but if...
