Ronan Dunne is running an air shock on his, and he certainly ain’t slow. Also air makes more sense to the mass market rather than ship each size with a set spring rate and hope it works

Please let's just move on from the crank drama. I'm sure both sides have learned from the experience. It's Sea Otter now; let's see some spicy tech rumor shots

They DID offer Cam a refund or warranty replacement (to the DH/Freeride spec) though! Cam is one of those customers that is impossible to please. And made it worse by publicising the entire thing as he went along. 5Dev are right to get rid of him and focus on sorting out their other customers. 5Dev should have handled it better but I believe in this particular instance Cam would've behaved like a self-entitled child anyway. As for the other instagram example that's been posted here, the person said "Andrew strikes again! I don't know a single soul that destroys more...

a welcome sight for tired eyes amidst all that internal cable routing bullshit, looks so clean and I’m usually not a fan of skinny steel pipes

Haha headset cable routing, another bunch of wankers at propain! Edit: At least the Aluminium model can be had with normal cable routing

Unless someone has evidence of more 5Dev cranks snapping, I'm going to assume the line "that particular crank had an issue" is refering to that SPECIFIC crank which snapped, not the batch, and he is acknowledging that it failed catestrophically. I don't see any evidence of 5Dev doing anything wrong. A product failed, they offered a warranty or refund, the guy was a dick, end of story. How many products have you guys had fail and need warranty? I've had 2 forks, 1 shock, 1 rear hub, 1 brand new chain, 1 handlebar. So what, sometimes shit breaks

That particular crank can mean the Crank that failed rather than the entire line of cranks. Definitely sucks for the rider but shit happens. What more than a refund does he expect?

Solid advice. I’m sure the wheel drag will disappear within the first few miles. Once some pesky metal wears away.

Some real world experience trickling in... My buddy has a new SB160 with a set of 2022 Race Face Turbine wheels (straight pull Vault hubs) pulled from his previous bike (Orbea Rallon). Shop goes to install XX transmission and when they tighten down the rear axle, the cassette rubs the transmission derailleur. After a bit of head scratching, the conclusion is the hub tolerances are off and the hub isn't wide enough on the drive side (my guess is less than .5mm, getting some very thin shims to test it out). Switched the cassette to a different wheel, all worked...

I could be wrong since things change so fast, but Flight Attendant is still based on the bladder charger 2.1 damper, and hasn't been upgraded to the charger 3 yet. This likely explains why none of the pros are using it anymore.
