6/13/2024 9:47pm In europe we have this a bit funky webshop called RCZ in luxemburg, which does firesale on bike parts they taken apart from few year old stock completes. The prices are pretty hilarious at times. I bought a zeb select for 259e, had it shipped straight from RCZ to m-suspensiontech in germany and for 400e I had zeb with custom...

6/9/2024 6:32am I rate hightower quite high. first proper trail 29er, still cutting edge with the current model. Cruz has great service and durability.

6/9/2024 6:28am Can't really argue with that. Each gen of the enduro has been rad (excl '99) vs. market competition since it came out ages and ages ago. For me the GOAT mtb is always the one you currently own if it has brakes and suspension that work properly on a regular basis.

6/3/2024 11:26am Was so refreshing to have Tahnee in the booth. Actual insightful things to say. Could see where riders were winning and loosing time and dissected the track. We can all be glad Rob is as iconic and interesting as he is. But neither Claudio, Elliot, Tracey, nor anyone at discovery commentary did a simply effective job like Tahnee did. 🤝

5/13/2024 11:11am Agreed. Every time yet another company announces a stem or a pair of flat pedals I wonder how they can possibly be seeing a market opportunity.

5/8/2024 8:40am electric lockout tech seems like an obvious upcoming thing from the big manufacturers. Would like to have one myself especially on my big rig (overforked / sprung megatower)

10/5/2023 10:19am "I'm hesitant to paint everyone else in the industry as idiots" I was forced to sit through a multi-hour presentation where the management of a very large bike brand starting with T explained to us that it was'nt a bike boom caused by the virus. It was the result of all THEIR hard work making everything sooo awesome and it was our duty not to let them down. Anyone who voiced anything approaching common sense was roundly chastised for a 'negative attitude'. When the downturn bit and the 50% increased target turnover was consistently missed, it was due to our...

10/5/2023 10:14am Without getting really in the weeds on "what is a company", for the purposes of this discussion a bike company is any purveyor of components, accessories, soft goods, frames or complete bicycles for sale to the specialty bicycle market. (IE, not Huffy). As to the decision of how vertically integrated you really are (IE, how much do you do "in house"), its any management team's choice where they want to draw that line. No matter what company you are talking about, there is always going to be some farming out of something to make what they make happen. When we...

4/21/2023 10:44am yeah and funny how last spring people thought "may 2023" was a typo for the embargo on the 38 boxxer. They've been riding them for like two full seasons already?
