Did a little searching and here's a pic from Bikerumor (at Sedona last year) of a prototype DVO shock with the dual compression adjustment knob from the Jade coil shock:

In my humble unpolished opinion, snobbery is very often the source of dumb criticism. DVOs are more than fine, for their target. But bells and whistles are demanded by the ones who cannot differentiate LSC from HSC, or riding with wrong sag.. The DVO jade (original dh shock) its a fantastic piece of simplicity.

Swapping rockers or links to setup a bike for a particular track is pretty common. But in Intense's case I don't really get the impression that that's why they were swapping them out!

As for how they stay afloat, it'd be interesting to know how many of the 951 bikes they sold to (or thru) costco? It seems like it could have been a pretty lucrative deal?

I spent the last few months wrenching at regional NICA events. I had never seen a 951 anywhere, under any rider, until I started heading out to the high school races. I probably saw a good three or four dozen of those bikes over the course of a handful of races. I don’t know if that’s where most of their business is coming from, but it convinced me at least someone is buying those bikes.

Those Tazer Ebikes sell like hotcakes out of the KTM shop local to me. I think they do a pretty good with those.

Still irritated they decided to use that name…

Thats the ride of Erik Irmisch. He's one of their athletes.

Anyway, the Tues hasn't seen an update in a while, hasn't it?

Looks similar to what the Scott team did a year or two back on the Gambler; the axle path remains the same (assuming it's the same frame) but trying an idler to reduce kickback a bit

If i recall the carbon is 2020 and the alloy, if they even sell it anymore, was introduced back in 2018.

Yes the Tues is a few years old, but if you look at the geometry it's pretty much up to date, they are only lacking a mullet version.

I definitely didn't want to say it NEEDS an update. I'm all for long product cycles (thanks shimano saint...).
However the industry tends to mostly see this differently, so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be working on some new version...

Looks like a wet scream. Maybe just mis-labeled? Mis-hotpatched?

Or may be he’s teasing us and those are 2 different tires - an Assegai and a Wetscream… :D

The one knob seen over the first s of the Assegai name looks nothing like Assegai side knobs and very much looks like a wetscream side knob...

My friend who is one of the editors of another MTB magazine mentioned a media embargo until the twenty-third of June. Maybe BikeRumor leaked it early.

Highly interesting fork though. Really good damper design, innovative air spring and somewhat competitively priced against Pike and Fox 34. I just wish Manitou products were more easy to purchase in Europe.

June 23rd embargo seems odd given they've already released them for sale on their site and have updated service docs published.

i still have a first gen mattoc pro and love it. IRT is great. love that they make it to run less travel now, i have a custom spacer in mine to get it down to 120mm and it makes an absolutely fantastic downcountry (*gasp i said it*) fork.

What’s difficult in the purchase of a Manitou fork in Europe? Pretty easy, if you ask me! My kid’s bike gas a Mattoc Pro with IRT, great performance and lightweight! Smile
