Am I completely off base thinking the frameworks bike is very similar to the 29'er Banshee legend in terms of geo and leverage ratio? I'm biased as it's my personal bike but the more I look the more I think the banshee was ahead of the curve in 2019 when it got released.

@hamncheez2003 "I'm guessing that this Cane Creek gives you more support sooner (and is tunable), and gives you more response or "pop" than the EXT solution." - You're correct here! RAMP Tube should not be thought of as JUST a bottom out feature. It's a better way to tune the overall spring characteristics and ride feel of a coil shock. Progression (and therefore bottom out support) is the result of the added tunability and increased liveliness that you can now add to the existing benefits of a coil shock.

Heres the thing, and I'm not trying to be a smartass here. People, are different, and, like different things. Thats really the end of. Maybe a "helper" or "progressive" or fanfriggindangled" spring is a great idea for some people, on some bikes, on some terrain, with their own style. Also "Dude" is a pretty confrontational way to start a comment, on a thread about rumours and innovation. Its all cool man, maybe someone takes that idea, uses current tech/manufacturing/packaging and makes the next greatest thing. We dont want to miss out on that do we?

Welp, I am the newb and just learning how to internet. When I clicked and looked it was all 27.5" and I didn't scroll thru all the options... I'll just keep my mouth shut and go back to PB. My apologies and as you were.

Well, I would expect a tech article on a fork to come out for it's debut. If not, it would come out listed as a "Long Term Review". The fork is literally out of production. Personally, I think PB just had a quota, Seb had an old ass article in his archive & submitted to meet the quota for the day. If Vital published a "review" of a 2 year old out of production fork, no way in hell would I respect that with some definitive prefaces for doing it.

Yeah this was super bizarre, although not that surprising given the platform. The review was pretty accurate but terrible timing when the new version has already been launched and addresses every one of those shortcomings! The problem is people are going to skim the article and think it’s referring to the new one, so it’s straight up terrible journalism. I don’t strictly mind reviews calling out a bad product, but if it’s not even remotely current then it’s either lazy content creation or they have an agenda

Not at all, they're openly marketing this bike to smaller sized people. Knolly also says this is the first bike to pave the way for their 6th gen designs, meaning we'll likely see the release of bikes that include XL sizing and full 29" wheel options.

The Manitou Dorado really is an incredible fork. They have the patent on the hex axle (guessing it expires soon) that resolved a lot of flex issues for DH diameter stanchions that moto forks don't have. Hayes just doesn't have the market penetration of Fox & RockShox, nor budget, to get it back on the top step. If a World Cup team w/ a proven winner tossed the Dorado on for next year, I have zero doubts it would hit the top step. Then suddenly people would pee their pants for Hayes/Manitou again.

rampage bikes from propain here https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/red-bull-rampage-bikes-cust… have we seen an inverted fork at rampage since early 2000s dorado or shiver or avalanche (wasn't lance canfield on an avalanche back in the day?)? stoked to see one (ok, two) again.
