11/19/2025 7:03am Back in 2023... so a year after the SB160 was released with the updated cable port. Saying the two below look similar is wild. Zero resemblance. Might as well compare a rotisserie chicken to a cassette.

11/19/2025 7:02am Look at the chainstay – it looks nothing like any Yeti ever made: squared-off, sharp edges. And the cable port? On Yetis from the past few years, those are screwed in. Do you guys throwing out these opinions actually look at bikes?

10/10/2025 7:26am Is "I heard it on the chairlift" the MTB equivalent of "I overheard some guys talking about it in a bar"?

10/2/2025 10:09am Thanks for the props fellas! Reece Wilson just told us that this track is more difficult than any track all year, even Les Gets in the mud because it’s so unpredictable. Rocks coming out all the time, and shadows look like rocks and rocks look like shadows. But the dirt is apparently absolutely mint.

10/2/2025 10:08am I think @dantecusolito should get a cool Vital t-shirt for bringing us live coverage and - hopefully - some major scoops.

9/10/2025 10:09am The "only shifts at the ramps" thing is a myth that SRAM isn't going out of their way to correct. There is no sensing of position, torque, or anything else going on -- so it's simply not a real thing. It was just rate limited to make sure us hoons didn't blow up chains too quickly. The existence of Transmission mechanical groupsets is evidence enought that you can bang shifts as fast as you want and things are hunky dorry.

8/29/2025 9:16am Update on some Maven bleeding: Tried the pinner cups/overnight bleed/dangling caliper with bleed blocks in on 3 sets of mavens and the improvement is dramatic. At this point I'm fairly convinced that the mineral oil formula that SRAM is using holds onto air a bit more than some other formulas (like magura/shimano), and that degassing the mineral oil is a very important step. Also, the more aggressive the piston massage the better. I've also noticed that I need to do it a 3-4 times for things to really improve, and I repeat the process until the pistons move evenly and...

7/9/2025 12:48pm I keep seeing a lot of misinformation on this thread regarding Mavens. The Silver/SLV & Ultimate/ULT lever pull prior to engagement (free stroke) is like Code RSCs, except that after engagement it has much greater power on the rotor, so to stop or slow down on real steep parts, you don't need to pull as hard after engagement to get the same amount of speed reduction. The big difference is that on the SLV/ULT, if you run the contact adjuster all the way in, the free stroke part of the pull becomes longer but lighter. Running the C adjuster fully...
