Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
Just heard Finn saying that most people are on the same line for the lower part of the woods and the bike park sections. The first section where I am just below the start gate is cutting up the most and has the most puzzling about lines.

now this is an inside line
I think @dantecusolito should get a cool Vital t-shirt for bringing us live coverage and - hopefully - some major scoops.
@dantecusolito gets a Shreddy Award or whatever we used to call those. User of the year.
x 100000! so rad to have him with live trackside updates
i was thinking the same thing
Thanks for the props fellas! Reece Wilson just told us that this track is more difficult than any track all year, even Les Gets in the mud because it’s so unpredictable. Rocks coming out all the time, and shadows look like rocks and rocks look like shadows. But the dirt is apparently absolutely mint.
mille's and ferg's POV from this morning. mille flats! i can see many more happening before it's all over. such a sick track! do we get a @dantecusolito background props anywhere???
It's so damn great having the Irish on the WC. So chill and always a crackup.
That’s me at 0:22 on the left in an orange vest
Man. None of my cooks can work Saturday. I might have to ask the boss if I can close for the day. Absolutely frothing on this track.
Jackson's preview is up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Fli0Vbb2gM
This is by far, the most beautiful track preview I've ever seen. That. Looks. Fun.
@dantecusolito is there a way to deliver a bunch of beers to your location from across the globe? :D
I've never really checked to see how closely timed training predicts the times to be expected in qualifying and finals. I assume it's usually slower.
Anyway, for what it's worth: Vali Höll finished 1st with a time of 3:42.91, followed by Sacha Earnest (+0.53 seconds) and Lisa Baumann (+3.81). Gracey Hemstreet and Cami Balanche rounded out the top 5, with just over 5 seconds separating 1st and 5th.
[Edit: Men's timed training has just gotten underway, as of 2:34 p.m.]
he shoulda pulled quad...
He lost too much speed sightseeing at the waterfall.
scrub quad to win? I mean, "gwin"...
Looks like there might be a red flag situation, because live timing stopped with about 15 riders on the course and about 5 left to drop.
Danny Hart has been in the Hot Seat for a while now after posting a time of 3:18.30. Luca Shaw currently in 2nd about 0.8 seconds back. Grice, Goldstone, and Breeden make up the rest of the current top 5. Between 1st and 5th there's a gap of about 7.7 seconds.
(I took a quick look at the Lenzerheide timed training and the fastest timed training runs were about 3 to 5 seconds slower than the eventual finals Elite winners' times.)
eh? did i miss something?
If you really have nothing better to do.

An important moment in film history:

i know it's just the middle of live timing but i like the look of all those stars and stripes up high
Sorry I don't know anything about Lake Placid other than this documentary I saw 25 years ago...the babies Betty White had at the end will be fully grown by now!
The live timing seems a bit goofy, because a few riders who completed runs earlier seem to be getting a 2nd shot at it. I'm confused.
Nevertheless, here's how the top 5 looks at the moment:
sorry for jinxing #USDH
I love how almost every rider the first thing you hear is look how beautiful it is here.
do you have issues understanding how timed TRAINING works?
your fastest run in the training session. Not just one and done.
