You can't make this shit up. This is what happens when the offenders are state sponsored. The ones policing them are the ones funding. Source: https://www.cbp.gov/document/annual-report/fy-2023-ipr-seizure-statisti…

"Instead of selling well designed affordable bikes for intermediates and beginners were going to fleece you all with overpriced over-marketed bikes instead" Enjoy you 10K Santa Cruz you can't put Shimano on.

There was an interview with Sacki sometime around the release of the latest n greatest Reverb where he related Sram asking him for a post and he mistakenly thought there was the potential for a licensing arrangement. Turns out it was for reverse engineering purposes to find a way to circumvent his patents. Sure it happens and woe for assuming, but not even paying for the thing is a poor showing.

I won't spill the tea, but ten minutes of Googling and following the breadcrumbs relating to "OG Bikeworks" yields some pretty intriguing stuff – interesting previous employers, patents, failed Kickstarters, etc. In any case, wireless dropper conversions seem like a good idea. I hope a dialed implementation of the concept comes to market.

Turns out it was not on good terms. BikeYoke has entered the chat and apparently this product doesn't been the German standards. Sorry for beating the dead horse but context needs to be present for vital readers

I see the comment as stating what was offered didn't meet expectations so we moved on. It happens in a colab setting often enough. With BY getting burned by Sram I can only surmise that they don't want to put themselves too in cahoots with another co unless there's a solid reason to do so. IMO, BY does things right most of the time outright and then makes sure updates are backwards compatible. I don't see them being the 'wait til the 2nd-3rd year of production to chase out the bugs' type of company.

" In all fairness I think speed+style became a bit stale" I don't think I personally ever really got it. I love racing, I'm glued to the DH and XC. I'll even watch the weird niche things like urban eliminator. And I'll watch the slope/freeride competitions in a state of confused awe at how intricate the tricks are. But speed and style tried to combine elements of both to end up with something not as good as either. It did tend to have good filming and production value, hope those guys and cameras (and budget) can be relocated to the...

Maybe it's good for Enduro to fall from where it's at and fall back to what made it cool in the first place. Ditch the big teams with big tents, let's go back to riders just going out on big days on big stages finding out who can win the war of attrition. I have talked to a few top 20 riders who have said the atmosphere amongst the riders during the races is awesome and everyone is having a great time. they are also fully aware that it's not translating to viewership or bringing out crowds however they still...

Based on the styling it makes me want to buy the current one, unless there's some functionality/price/reliability benefit?

surely i cant be the only one who hates the fox neo dropper design, ie the system being at the mid cap assembly, it looks so out of place and odd. We buy all these nice clean looking bikes then a huge bulge 3/4 up a seat tube lol. I've been wanting a wireless dropper but not when they look like that lmao

Doing some micro-shootouts comparing a few tires (or products in other categories) is high on our to-do list next year. Everything is so good these days, that zooming in and comparing some really similar products would be rad. Especially with tires when visually so many look similar. I also really want to ride the Shredda. Thing looks mean. It's also very on-brand for me....
