Really don’t get the dumb dislikes on the previous post, the black ones ( I got 3 all in full black with the last 3 warranties ) are the latest stock apparently, and after some torch inspection no, there’s no extra seal around the pins, so they will keep failing with moisture staying trapped causing the spring to corrode or something.

North Shore Indoor Bike Park (on THE North Shore, Van BC) is getting killed by pickleball. It appears they are carrying on and moving out to the lower rent, and less geriatric zone of Maple Ridge. There's an interesting side story here of how the popularity of pickleball appears to be competing for, and taking over spaces that smaller groups of people enjoy, like tennis courts, outdoor skate parks, and indoor rec facilities for more niche sports. We're getting a new indoor facility in Calgary eventually, hopefully with better investment and business model to keep it alive: https://unreal-yyc.com/

Hi! This is my first post on this thread, but I have been reading for 2 years now. I talked with Sam pilgrim and a few other canyon guys at Tennessee Nationals, and also got to swing a leg over the Production New canyon sender. Supposedly the bike was supposed to release April 12 (that’s what Sam said, he also verified that it was the production version he was riding) so there’s a chance maybe it is releasing this month still? As someone who has been on this thread a while I'll say: Leave the banter I feel like this thread does a good job of balancing Tech rumors and general Tech discussion that may seem off topic, of which Crab link is our proudest moment. The banter around the tech is just as important as the tech. If you just want a hot-list of rumors about stuff coming out, then well look elsewhere.

I don't know enough about this stuff to have an informed opinion but fwiw Darren Murphy (of Push) posted a bunch of stuff about flex and torsion when they were developing the Nine One. His conclusion was that the real-world torsional deflection on their fork wasn't significant enough to offset the other gains the design offered. (Can't find links atm but I do remember that that the "hold the front wheel w/ your knees and turn the bars" test was one he was pretty adamant had almost no bearing on real-world performance).

There are a few people who I eagerly await pre-season race footage of, top of the list is Loic and based on his recent story I'd say we aren't disappointed. New/Raw brake calipers, possibly uncovered rear shock finally, new chainstay, new/kinked seat tube? There's too much and yes I am hoping someone posts the screenshots for me.

I can't figure out why anyone making an inverted fork in 2025, especially a single crown inverted fork, wouldn't use the Manitou hex axle to add torsional stiffness. The patent is expired and it adds almost no weight. I imagine a 15mm hex axle is significantly stiffer in torsion than a round 20mm axle, and doesn't require a new front hub. Especially if you're already doing pinch bolts, you can do it the way the Dorado has been doing it since 2002? It's so simple!
