Local enduro race went off yesterday in Squamish. https://zone4.ca/event/2024/QnJ9jQ/ Stacked field as it is every year since it serves as a good warmup for the season.

Oh every single bike will be an ebike but with the latest and greatest underpowered Fazua battery (to keep weight down) so that you go about as fast as your normal biking friends (don't wanna leave friends behind), and so the battery dies after about an hour. So that you are forced to buy the range extender and give up a water bottle slot. But don't worry. We will be integrating a hydration system within the carbon frame with a hose that leads directly to your face. Also it will come stock with Mountain Dew Baja Blast (further Baja Blast...

Oof… It’s starting to feel like everyone in the bike industry will be gone or at least partially owned by Giant, Merida, PON, SRAM, Shimano, or Fox in the next 5 years. - with Giant and Merida being much bigger players than the others in that list.

Lil ole NZ finally got access to the world cups on Staylive - for only $5.99usd per month. Pretty happy with that - not with Ricks commentary, but $5.99 a month is ok.

Those of us here geeking out over this shit are 1% of bike geeks. The diaper does nothing to stop us from digging it up and nerding out over it. The same dude who almost ran you over on the way to the bike park because he had his head buried in his phone is not going to notice that there is a different idler on someone else's bike. Most of the population walks around blissfully unaware of their surroundings.

The popularity of bike diapers the past few seasons just cracks me up. How soon before the UCI bans them?

Here is the statement copied from the other site: After a preliminary investigation into the failure of the prototype frame, we have identified that there was no failure of the carbon tubes and the epoxy used to bond the frame was still intact on the carbon tube side. Unfortunately, virtually no adhesive remained bonded to the aluminum. We use a treatment on all the aluminum parts to protect from galvanic corrosion between the carbon and the aluminum. We believe there was a failure of this treatment to properly etch/adhere to the aluminum. We have additional frames that were made in...

Can we get past the idea that everything has to be the same, but also different. Look, if its not for you, its not for you, but could be for others. I have XT's, Code RSC's, and have spent time on TRP DH EVO's. I prefer the RSC's full stop (pun intended, but only after proof reading) I do not want the light lever feel of TRP's or XT's. I find them vague, and prefer the required force to pull RSC's Some people like different things, so lets stop lamenting that SRAM didnt make a brake for YOU, but instead...

I work with a digital shock pump on a daily basis, and I am very frequently frustrated by the lack of an Abbey-level equivalent to the garbage that seems to come from the same factory, with different suspension manufacturer’s names poorly printed on the head. At the same time, I am constantly reminded of the question Spomer asked Jordi on his episode of The Inside Line: “Have you ever attached a FitBit to your shock pump?”. It seems ludicrous to me (and to Jordi also, it appears) that I should have to inflate a CAD$1300 fork with a $60 steam-punk...

Nigel Page just put a goodbye and thanks post on Instagram. I find this super sad, as he is one class act as a human being. I read this as in ”hopes were still on until the last moment”. I can't wish him and the team anything else but the best. I want to add one more thing here: I met Pagey 22 years ago at the Worlds. He was injured and watched the races from the side and somehow I ended up talking to him. Being the kid in love with racing that I was and still am, I...
