Vorsprung has a pretty good video on the pedal kickback in general. Essentially, it isn‘t only the chain „growth“ which is only relevant when the freehub is engaged. What advantage is there to wetting the fork in a certain travel range?

I hate how the hot seat is in some ivory tower now. The redbull days had that dialed, a seat right at the bottom where the riders could salute each other. The racing is on too late for me these days, I'm tired and wear an onion on my belt. I watch the replay on Tiz the next morning and don't look at my phone so no spoilers.

The coverage is only part of the issues with UCI/WBD Enduro is being sidelined, geographic spread of events is shocking, rider numbers are being cut, privateers being priced out of racing, etc.. I'm in Scotland and ESO bought out our national series then canned it without explanation, and have ignored any questions about it. The Tweed Valley EWS round had a five year contract in place with landowners and they canned that after two years. They also screwed local riders by halting a major trail development to run the XC World Champs on the site, then bulldozed what they'd built...

You can blame the patent system for that. Specialized bought the Horst Link in the US, called it FSR and locked down tight for years. Nothing they actually did themselves but have a canny ability to spend money well. Shame they weren’t so wise ordering bikes.

Nope, it's Drum & Bass, as in the music used on it. Some people abbreviate it to DNB. The fancy studio shots before the big dogs ride showing off the bikes and kit look fairly pro, and the amount of course covered was nice, but that's totally undone by not broadcasting semis, zero communication about why, and then making it so hard for people who either want to or indeed have paid to watch the finals live. It was easy enough for me to find on the Discovery app, but it doesn't sound like many people shared that experience.

I did not see photos of them racing the bonded bike this weekend. Pretty sure they were all on the welded frames.

I‘m going to copy/paste something I texted a homey yesterday after semis: Prediction: electronically controlled damping will shake up the game this year the same way 29ers did when the Syndicate brought them to the 2017 opener in Lourdes. Spoiler next: today in semis went Troy, Finn, Loic, Luca, 1-4; all of them on the same half second (😳), and all of them had computers in the fork and shock. After watching the Vital Raw's, i dont think theres another rider on this planet that is smoother than Loic Bruni. His upper body just doesnt move and his bike always looks in control. So fun to watch him

Anybody notice how short Reece Wilson's stem is this weekend? Looks like a 20mm stem or maybe shorter.
