Aah, probably why it's best to leave it to others for these things, I didn't think about the end caps.

The issue is the endcap of 20x110 mm hub won't fit into standard boost 15 fork and this kind of adapter does nothing to fix that. Any decent machinist will turn you needed end caps on the lathe though for maybe 30bucks if you bring your own material.

I’m going the opposite direction and putting a 38 on my ebike which currently has a 40 on it. I have a lot of really tight 180 switchbacks on my local trails and it’s hard to make some of them with the limited turning radius of a dual crown. But I’d like to be able to use the same front...
I've been interested in the Noken for my 38 and this review sealed the deal. I almost never get full travel but more importantly, my 38 does not seem to get more plush with reduced pressure past a point. It just wallows more without working any better over small bumps. Thanks 👍

good to see dak and gwin back. this track is so nuts. its like bipolar disorder for a racer: hauling freight like never before then into to slow down tech too. pretty rad.

It can definitely work. I happen to own a full power, Bosch CX Race in a long travel, 190/200 travel ebike that is under 48lbs. Add in a gearbox, it shouldn’t add more than a pound or 2 at most. More importantly, it moves all of the unsprung weight, (derailleur and cassette) from the rear wheel to a low and centered position in the crank/bb area, for much better handling and suspension performance, not to mention the gearbox and belt drive being virtually maintenance free. So the slight extra weight increase is definitely worth it.

This is a step backwards. They should’ve made a full power, long travel, up and downhill beast as light as possible. Preferably with a gearbox motor and belt drive with the option for a big or small battery.

Will Fox stop saying it's just a prototype now? Excellent choice going with a 20mm axle for the single crown version. Does this mean the inverted 40 will get another shot?

Let me clarify all that here. First up, this is designed for frames with internal headset bearings (where the bearing seats are actually part of the frame, i.e. there are no headset cups). You can't run regular anglesets on such frames, which is why this part was concocted in the first place. What this thing actually does is it moves the bearings outside of the frame, which in fact adds to the stack height on both sides of the headtube. You don't need new headset bearings as you simply drop the ones that were previously sitting in the frame into...
