It's officially official - Dak has joined Mondraker Factory Racing. Video interview and podcast are live now. We recorded this last week, so we will have to cover #frecklegate in the next podcast haha

Are there news or rumours regarding Canyon CLLCTV enduro team? Jesse all by himself, Party Boi and Bomba dropped to get money to hire Daprela for DH? Will Scarsi get a pump up to CLLCTV team from the Dainese Pirelli team? So many questions.

The admittedly unclear implication was that “we” derailed the thread and I neither endorsed unsanctioned trails nor demonized them. I just gave us a new place to argue about it. I am keenly aware of and sensitive to the potential for unsanctioned trails to impact legal access. I more took issue with the term eco-crimes and the idea that these trails cause any more meaningful damage than legal trails which seemed a bit extreme in the grand scheme of the late capitalist human shitshow. I will say that the original sin of American MTB occurred in a place where to...

Sir, this is a Wendy’s… On another note, I hope frecklegate gets discussed on a future B Practice Podcast.

Also, update on #frecklegate. He's playing hard to get.

i homepage this as well, but danny following eddie in Queenstown for the NZ southern DH series...holy crap they're gnarly! they just gap and float and smash without a flinch. if anyone has links to race results for stuff like this, blast them here or send 'em to me and i can post.

This deserves its own thread, but unless you are looking at the contract first hand, take everything with a grain of salt. I've negotiated on behalf of a handful of professional athletes in adjacent sports as an "agent" (LOL) and I've also watched people flat lie about what they were making to feel better about themselves. I get it. Its a topic riddled with insecurity. While I'd wager there are more athletes making $100-200K+ than most think (I'm including influencer types and freeriders in this), its a terrible career choice in every sense of the word "choice". If I was...

was just sent this by rogue racing TM, not sure if old news. rogue and GT this year

Something I learned this year was how difficult the timing is - a few things I never considered. Not all of a rider's sponsors line up to end on the same date. Can't takea pic in your new TL kit if Alpine was doing your old and you are still under contract for them...so multiply that my all the support a team has for the existing and new riders. Then, once all that is finally squared, the logistics of an announcement have to match up...got to plan the photo, video, place...hope it's not raining etc. Here is a big one...

Based off the Vital MTB podcast, he is.

Bulldog can't fool me. ENHANCE

Am I the only one who thinks waiting so long to announce this stuff has actually kind of taken the excitement out of it? I was pretty pumped after the new years but the excitement has kind of wore off now.

To be fair, he doesn't even know haha It's now Monday, so I guess the announcemnt wasn't today. Stay tuned for tomorrow...

holy crap, you've all made this year's rumor season so freaking fun and hilarious. was hard to believe #cappucinoMachineGate could be topped but now #frecklegate has set a new bar. i'd be kinda scared if i was an athlete making team switches next year LOL

It’s curious how Greg (Norco, really) and Neko are saying completely different things. Neko spends two years developing a race bike and concludes you can’t adjust anything independently, every change will affect something else. And complexity breeds its own challenges with marginal performance improvement. Norco heads in the exact opposite direction, highly complex suspension with claims of independent adjustability. Making those changes in isolation would be so time consuming. To slacken the head angle and keep bb height the same you’ve have to switch out flip chips for both. Changing HA alters your front center, unless you move the BB...

Three points I'm compelled to make here... 1) I don't disagree that when you factor in all your SG&A plus what certain brands were doing on a COGS basis to rush product to market that a 3 year snapshot of most companies will look upside down. I wouldn't put this squarely on the shoulders of "those in finance" however. Nobody has a crystal ball and lots of very smart people really did think COVID was going to create long lasting changes as to "how we all hang out". (not true - obviously). I'm not trying to save face for these...

Sorry - missed this! Thx for the tag. While its impossible for me to know exactly what is going on, here is what appears to be happening... 1) As pointed out elsewhere, Yougone has a majority stake in Scott Sports. Its important to note their stake is large, which gives Youngone more incentive to help. 2) Youngone is publicly traded in S. Korea, making disclosures of this sort mandatory. 3) Of course no bank would give Scott a loan on these terms. In fact, the interest rate is closer to the 1 year treasury rate than what a business like...

enhance.....

That BB area is camouflaged quite well, and I think is the key to figuring it out. We are verboten to say during this transition, but we are all one in trying to figure it out I think.

alright dak hand guys work your enhancement magic, what bike do we have here?
