6/10/2026 11:01pm Yes! It’s great the men will have to practice in that first session! Just like the removal of protection and the euros having to deal with Korean jet lag, it’s nice to switch it up. The women’s racing is definitely the best it’s ever been, they deserve the spotlight. And it’ll be interesting to see how the colder wetter shorter (?) less dialed practice affects which men how…

6/8/2026 2:22am The "multiplier effect" is an economic fallacy. "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

6/6/2026 4:25pm You are correct, thanks for making mention before I could catch up in this thread. On longer climbs I would take the chain off but most times I just wouldn't care to. The bigger problem was the chain length in my largest rear cog when using the lower guide, only a problem during climbing though. The system was great while descending. But I just run the ochain now instead of the lower guide because it's manages the chain whipping and is less faff.

6/1/2026 12:54am So glad I didn’t pick Luca. Super happy to see him finally win. It seemed like so many were happy for him.

5/31/2026 11:44am Good for Luca to grab a win, perservance there for sure. Also two different American winners back to back, has that ever happened? Hell have there even been two different Americans to win one in a single season? Finally if they're going to just do the commentary in a studio somewhere can they get a team that understands the assignment? I feel like most of us would do a better job at being insightful, plus their timing is just ridiculous off pace, splits happening and 30 seconds until they even notice it while they're still blabbing about if they can...

5/27/2026 3:21am I think the issue is not being able to establish what the problem is because your riding isn’t consistent enough and therefore you don’t actually know what you are trying to fix. No one wants to try to problem solve a problem that they can’t even read. You shooting in the dark, unsure about the validity of potential solutions, and potentially don’t understand the complicated relationship between all the systems so you might actually end up fucking something up terribly. It’s not surprise many people don’t want to tinker.

5/21/2026 2:15am I'll be honest, 15% is pretty low. Not V1 Sentinel low but getting there. Definitely down in the "huh" range. The only way I'd ever expect to get that to not bottom out in the parking lot with a coil is run practically no sag or run an unreasonable amount of damping. I had a V2 Hightower as a personal bike for a bit. It was significantly more progressive with a little more travel and a little more shock stroke to work with. I put a DHX2 on it once for the sake of experimenting. At 30% sag it would...

5/19/2026 12:51pm Side point, but after talking to a number of brands and shops, one thing keeps standing out: e-MTB is no longer a side quest (even if you aren't amflow). I know this is a big "duh" to those in Europe, but for me (a long time analog bike guy) its a stark reminder things have changed. I have three brands telling me off the record e bikes drive over half the company's revenue. If you don’t have a real e-MTB story right now (like Niner), you’re making yourself harder for shops to justify carrying. From the shop’s perspective, they can...

5/15/2026 7:44am Cheers for making this thread. I think it’s going to get quite old man shouts at clouds, but there we go. I come at this from a slightly different angle, I’m an elected local councillor. As a result I’ve managed to have meetings with a few of the land owners and managers at my local. It’s a complicated picture, 3 public owners, a few private and 2 main land managers who have different goals and incentives. It’s an intensively used bit of land, 2 million people live within 30km of it in a very nature deprived part of a very...
