3/3/2026 11:58pm Related question: is there any real difference between the factory cost of production of low/middle end suspension vs high end? Like say a Zeb select vs an ultimate (Usually a damper change and external adjustments).

2/26/2026 12:33pm For 170mm or more: Crestline, teewing flux, and the announced today thomus: https://bikes.thoemus.ch/en/oberrider Not sure why I'm bothering to answer, we are all the same people from emtb forums having the same conversation as over there anyway 🤣

2/26/2026 12:26pm I'd wait for the 25+ bosch version to go on sale and snag that. I basically paid half price for one... Having ridden several dji bikes at this point, the bosch gen 5 is still as good or better than the m1 dji, particularly for noise. Only downside is aesthetic of the downtube being built to accept the fat 800wh bosch battery. Great geo and kinematics on the crafty. Never dreamed I'd prefer to ride a 150mm rear travel e-bike at the bike park rather than any of my acoustic enduro bikes, but here we are.

2/26/2026 7:44am Personally not pulling the trigger on anything until the Avinox flood begins in a month. Even if none of the avinox bikes fit my needs, everything on sale now is surely going to go on firesale. It feels like soon Trek dealers will be handing out free Trek exe's as a gift when you buy over $50 worth of bontrager...

2/26/2026 6:09am Sethimus has the same list I could think of, but others could be announcing with the M2 update (e.g. mondraker and Orbea are unnofficial but credible leaks). If you havn't seen the Megamo Reason (air for the 140mm version), most builds of the 140mm bike are under 20kg with an 800wh, looks like an SL, and starts under €5k in...

2/25/2026 1:04am The craziest part of the Levo R is the redesigned front triangle, this means spesh bothered to build new molds for a bunch of sizes just for this bike to save a few hundred grams? I could have totally understood if this was just a new linkage and shock to help move unsold frames... To their credit I will say...

2/24/2026 5:39am I don't think anyone realized there is a market for such a bike, because there just might not be one! A 130mm ebike is already really niche, but if I had a lot of money and space I would consider one as a 2nd ebike. But that thing would have to be light and affordable, which most likely is not...

2/18/2026 8:09am My enduro bike was 465mm, I think this is the best fit for me at 178cm/5'10. Similarly, to you I have trouble finding bked with this reach. My last ebike was 455 reach, but very slack headangle (62.8), so I was able to run a 45mm stem rather than my usual 40mm with no change in steering feeling. Went up...

2/16/2026 11:59pm I put a 190mm Zeb ultimate 3.1 on my (170mm stock) ebike, I mostly did it to raise the front/BB and came into it knowing that 190mm was hard to reach. In my experience, my go to "pretty stiff" settings result in mostly 170-180mm of travel being used (~70psi for 80kg rider on a 24kg bike). Over last summer going...

Shimano e8000 on a 2018 Meta power: Motor replaced at 10,000 km and 4 years, €1000 out of pocket, replaced the lower battery terminal/connectors also. Giant/Yamaha: 2 years and 4,000km no issues at all, sold. Great motor just a bit less efficient than a Bosch and less powerful and overheated in Summer on long climbs. Bosch Gen 5: 1 year...

2/10/2026 12:29am It is really cyclical with Commencal, all their early bikes cracked, then around 2015-2020 they had a great run of overbuilt bikes (at least the metas), now we seem to be back in a period of every bike cracks...
