So, basically quite a bit like the Hans Dampf? (I really like the HD, it rails corners yet it rolls way faster than a similar size / compound Magic Mary)

Sick to see it showing up in people's hands and hear how it's riding! I just ordered a Rekon and Forekaster for my short-travel trail bike. My plan was to have a three-tire collection. Rekon, Forekaster, and DHF (which is currently on the bike). Then, when the DHF wears out, go to this new Dissector because I absolutely do not...

I recently got the new Dissector v2 (MaxTerra EXO 2.4WT) aka baby Assegai and it is exactly something I always dreamt of for a short travel trail bike (140/130). I use my small bike for XC type riding in the rockies. Conditions are usually very dry, loose dirt and loose rock on top of hardpack. The side knobs are wide yet not too tall. This makes them very stable and gives you that DHF level locked in feeling during hard cornering. Lack of side knob stability was my main complaint with Forekaster v2 and this solves that. The center tread...

Paying riders and content creators while not selling bikes is a Coffin move. From what I understand is they released new bikes, the Geo Evolution happened and Their Models were instantly outdated. Paying a families lifestyle like porters, heavy sponsor of Seth and many other Youtubers Just Dug them a hole with their outdated Bikes. I'd love to see brands Marketing Teams numbers when sponsoring Riders and creators, like does it actually do anything? is there any ROI? I've only out-right bought 1 bike because of a creator/rider which was Phil and the Latest GT Force.

Maxima plush 7wt - you can get small bottles of this pretty easily so it would be my first pick anyway. I like Motorex oils most of the time but RS shocks can be sensitive to viscosity so I probably wouldn't mess with that, especially when you are changing tune. Slick honey is great, use it for everything Soft jaws are crucial but you don't really need shaft clamps for an SDLX Air valve tool is the main thing Loctite 263 is also fine - not super critical but you can read loctites data sheets to check if they are...

I did end up ordering a Wolf Tooth 40cc pump based on posts from this thread. It's much more compact than my OneUp 70cc (so should mount better inside my Glovebox, and have better clearance above my bike's shock on the top tube bracket). Like someone said, gravity casings never flat on me, so the pump is just insurance on backcountry rides, or to help out poor fools running EXO casing tires. To me, the pump makes sense to have readily available (especially with a plugger in its handle), while I'd rather have a lightweight tube protected inside my hydration...

It's not so much "I need a company to tell me what to think of their bikes." It's more "I won't support a company who has THAT low of an opinion and that little regard for their customers." I work in an industry that is flooding with AI. I won't use it. Clients are coming to me because of the...

Dear Bike Brands, Employ real humans writing real words and creating real images to paint the picture of what your bikes will give to us. If you don't, we won't buy from you. Period.

There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...

A narrower rear rim would work better for this application, but none-the-less you should try the tires I recommended. If you want even more speed and are willing to give up some front wheel traction, the Ibex Onza is way faster than it looks and when fresh has solid trail grip for a front tire (it falls off quickly though). The Onza up front (get the grippy but light version) with the CrossKing Protection in the rear (not the Taiwan made performance+, but the German made Black Chili Protection) is 98% as fast as XC tires while having 50% more...
