Watch the Sleeper.co video of the guys riding the track after the race on their e-bikes (last year, I think?). https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9ffwSXsQq6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link… Still looks like a rowdy track, especially if they get as much moisture as it sounds like they're supposed to get. Tues (1mm), Wed (7mm), Thurs (44mm), Fri (18mm), Sat (5mm). Obviously the forecast can change (especially in the mountains), but it's looking like it's going to be greasy at the very least. On another note, I've been in Morzine since the 16th and only have a few days left, but it's been cool to see the WC stuff...

Perhaps my sarcasm detector is not calibrated properly but this smells like cold-pressed extra virgin snake oil: - The half circle is smaller in area, reducing air resistance. This is the variation the IFR team uses, because in elite racing, every millisecond counts. That said, Rev grips have a bulge at the ends that actually helps with the grip of the pinkie and that makes my hands sit a little in-board, which I believe helped prevent injuries during my numerous tree strikes.

I think Eddie Masters was using something like that to protect his fingers/hand after messing 'em up last year, too. He seems pretty accessible and responsive to folks. I bet a Youtube comment or DM (or official media request) would get a response with some of his impressions.

A thought I had teased out in a much longer form that I think is applicable to the Pivot situation (and I think we'll see it more often from other teams): I think Pivot is going to leave elite-level racing and BK Sport will be the team that carries on. I think the BK Sport merch brand has been the...

I've been riding the forekaster /rekon combo for almost the whole summer on my Epic Evo. It's a pretty fun combo on hardpack trails but it gets squirrely in the wet. I'm pretty keen on trying the new dissector with an Exo+ forekaster in the back, that would be a nice combo for wetter days like we get in the fall and lots of leaves (without going full assegai/minion style of heavier tires). Any word on 2.5 Aspens releasing soon? I've been riding the aspen in the rear also and it's really fun in the dry and hardpack. I've tried...

I've ridden all of the tires you mention extensively and most of the combinations. I'd rule out the Rekon/DHR II combo as I think they are a little too far apart to make a good combo. I'd probably go Forekaster/Forekaster or Forekaster/new Dissector - I'm keen to try that setup soon. Rekons can be super fun in dry/predictable conditions, but the Forekaster feels like it only gives up a little rolling speed for a good bit more grip. Good luck!

Yooooooo...I need tire recommendations! Bottom two paragraphs are additional info about my riding and a local shop recommendation if you're extra curious. I tried to keep my long-windedness in check until those last two paragraphs. I need new tires on my 120mm/140mm trailbike...but have had very little experience with different tires. I've only ever ridden old Dissectors on the hardtail...

Cool. Thanks for finding that! I don't spend a ton of time digging around the comments so it makes sense I'd have missed it. That definitely surprises me, though. It seems like people are swinging back to being more interested in Enduro...but apparently not!

interesting. Only person I saw saying something like that was this guy: –– mi-bike (10 hours ago) With Moir back in the mix, I predict that Pinkbike's Enduro engagement will be up by 43% compared to races this year he didn't race in and up 23% compared to 2024 and 37% compared to 2023. More ad dollars and more coverage...

I didn't watch Adam's trackwalk. I wasn't saying anything other than saying I have felt something similar to what BK said so I got a completely different takeaway from that podcast. I'm not here to be the arbiter of right or wrong nor am I pretending to be. Was BK the only person to take that alt line the previous...

Long ramble, sorry. Just offering a different perspective from this because my first reading of the podcast episode was completely different. I listened to the whole podcast. I think the answer BK gave seemed accurate and I didn't hear it as complaining (and he even said in the podcast that it's going to sound like sour grapes coming from him)...

I wouldn’t read into it much. Pivot/bernard have plenty of opportunity in plenty of spaces. Masters Walker Masters podium was one of the truly great enduro moments. Race winner. Fan favorite. Not many of those guys left in enduro.

I'm not in a large city but I am in a place that HATES cyclists. Any riding I do near cars/trucks (mtb or road/commuter) I approach in a similar way: I'm not going to trust anyone or anything and I will make it impossible for anyone to cause a problem for me. The last time I trusted a motorist, I...

Back in mech life daze I learned after the 10-100th time the first spot to check for creaks was the chainring bolts. The number of times I had practically torn down a complete bike for naught due to one or more of those buggers being a tad loose was pretty embarrassing. Plus side, later when one of the other mechs was in the process of doing the same I got to be the smug hero who would tighten the damn things and solve their half hour + struggle. That bit of learning drives me to this day, often pulling the...
