Trek and QBP just had layoffs (again) today. This is the third time at Trek in the last 18 months and I believe at least the second time at QBP since COVID. I just exited the bike industry myself (started a new job this week!), it’s definitely rough out there!

I would like to see Brage on the Raaw Yalla. Raaw got way to anonymous riders.

Hopefully, what’s upping the stoke in 2026 is just not overdoing it. With training for a 250 mile race (now complete) I honestly just rode way too much last year. Feel free to play the worlds tiniest violin if you must, but our smallish local trail network is best suited for up to 3 days of riding per week at most, not as much 6-7 days all summer. Varying my activity and having MTB be a treat instead of a daily “must do” will be good for me, I think.

Still just one bloke doing everything: product, riders, logistics, emails at stupid o’clock, the lot. No staff, no big safety net. Just belief and stubbornness. The industry doesn’t make it easy for small independents. The big dogs have deeper pockets and louder voices, but that was always kind of the point.
