On top of the fact that most aged cheese has bugger all lactose, you can readily purchase tablets which contain the enzymes needed to break down lactose. You literally just pop one before your cheese orgy and you’re all g. The lady is actually lactose intolerant and does this on the regs. I actually had a cheese hangover going into 2026, was brutal.

That’s really innovative! I’ve been toying with a way to use my rear shock to generate power. PERHAPS I could skip the power and make a modular potato-based shock lockout? It’s like two bikes in one, basically. Short travel on the climb and then you can start descending when you’ve earned the carbs, the potatoes are mashed, and the shock...

At least another week for some of the "unknowns" to make official announcements. Moir is signing with the City of Bentonville and will have an ankle monitor on that prevents him from leaving the area. He'll be slanging pastries and coffee out of a smoko stand in the woods when not riding.

Jess Blewitt to Gwin Racing. Confirmed. I saw them riding at the same trails over a weekend in America in early October. It looked like a big multi-team camp with some timing and suspension testing.

I feel like everyone who's gotten on cube the last few years seems to have suffered performance wise. Sure Danny might have just been at that point in life as he'd been on it for 10 years at that point.and become a dad, but it seems every time someone coming off a hot one that signs for cube falls off a bit. Jess was the up and comer the year before she signed for cube, and sure she had a few injuries, but she seemed to struggle on the team a bit. Hoping she smashes it wherever she lands.

Biking will be a lot of fun in 2026. Side knobs will be scrubbed while riding Enduro because the spirit of Enduro will never die, like ACDC says, NEVER GONNA DIE!!! TV Enduro may fade away, but that won't stop us from riding up to ride down fast and hard on our backyard tracks, all of us, every single Vital mtb junkie. Long travel trail bikes will suddenly become cooler than ever because they are being discontinued and we all knew they were cool but we already have one and don't need another one just yet. Who cares about climbing...

I think you're right on the 120-130mm bikes. I think bikes are going to divide into short travel bikes, ebikes, and DH bikes. Maybe not 2026 but at some point. And I bring this up because some folks don't know (literally a friend of mine was telling me how much they miss parmigiano reggiano but they haven't had it since...

FWIW, my Modus operandi is to point the seat towards the bars. Then it's just a question of the relative height of one vs. the other.

This was a thought I was having, too. He's not really made a splash at Pivot through juniors nor into elites so maybe a change of scenery would turn things for him a bit. He's had a lot of injuries which definitely doesn't help. I always thought he was a good rider and had good energy in all the Pivot-related...

I had a good day out on the XT/Maven's with redline likewater. No issues. No wandering bite. Just light level pull and absurdly strong brakes. I'll be sticking with this setup for the foreseeable future. Will be interesting to see how the long term reliability is, and how the bleed holds up.

1) my Turner Nitrous. First HT since the early aughts and hoo boy has that changed! I moved to Missoula from ABQ last year and having a XC/trail hardtail has made the riding tons more fun and efficient. Have been getting more on: 2) longer rides. Nice to be feeling more in shape. 3) custom tune on my Fox 36. Much more supple. I don’t smash like I used to, and a lighter tune has made the riding tons more comfortable 4) Sedona. First trip there since the mid-aughts and hoo boy that has changed! So fun, and just enough...
