2/28/2026 8:30am " They should also sign a deal with Insta360, GoPro, etc and mandate that riders have to run a camera while footage is co-owned by EWS. If they wanted to do near real time coverage they could have memory cards at each stage finish line to swap out of the top 20 riders so they could produce something quickly. Add in a few static cameras and drone operators and they would have some really compelling coverage within 24 hours. " the problem with mainly POV footage is that it can look a bit crap. especially to watch the same thing...

2/28/2026 7:24am Here's a rough idea. I'm sure there are some details missing, and despite my best efforts, this rabbit hole has some twists. So you have Mark Hancock, co-founder of PACS Group, owner of 323 skilled nursing facilities in 17 states. Current net worth estimated at $2.4 billion. PACS went public on the NYSE in 2024 at $21/share, currently at ~$36.50, and Hancock reportedly still holds 35%. The chart, since IPO had some wild moments, but seems to be back on track. Obviously, a very successful entrepreneur at this stage. In April of 2024, Hancock's own PV3 Investments (later PV3 Enterprises)...

2/27/2026 8:58am That got me thinking about who makes fancy squishy bits, off the top of my head: - PUSH - Vorsprung - EXT - Fast - Bright - Manitou (arguable?) - Cane Creek (arguable?) Who else?

2/27/2026 8:50am "We have been shoveling money into US Customs and Border Protection faster than we can make it. It's literally our entire operating margin," Evil's Moeschler noted. "We've had some short-term methods to offset the cash that we're shovelling into the government. But that wasn't a long-term plan. That was just, 'here's what we can do for a little bit' – but now we need something to change high level with the US government." Absolutely brutal, horrible way to have to run a business. Just lighting money on fire. IDK, maybe its a PR move from a lot of companies, but...

2/27/2026 6:51am So FOX said forcing Legacy brands to "consolidate or cease operations". Should that be taken at face value?? I understand roughly how much some of the BIG 3-4 still owe to their suppliers, It kinda makes sense...But that's unreal.

2/27/2026 6:50am Fox Factory reported earnings this evening. I'll do a deep dive post later, but here are a few takeaways. Q4 Results - Came in about as expected (overall). 2026 Guidance - Lighter than expected, but there are talks of divesting in certain assets (like Marucci) SSG (the unit bike components live in) lagged about 5% in year over year sales. Management described bike as "slowly stabilizing" but explicitly acknowledged "disruptive market entrants" forcing legacy brands to "consolidate or cease operations". Maybe they have caught onto this thread? Lol. Stock is flat in post market trading, down 4% prior to the...

2/25/2026 4:10pm RAAW addressed this issue by using modular dropouts. They first did it with their Yalla DH bike which has now trickled down to their Madonna v3.2. This is what the DH industry might head towards to accommodate UDH. Also can we take a moment to drool over how the black and silver SRAM design works with the RAAW frames 🤤

2/25/2026 8:09am If you hate all their other new stuff and how much it costs, just wait until you see the pricing on that new Demo... it's not going to be nice. Soon, you'll be able to buy a new vehicle and live like you did when you were 20 and your bike was 3x more expensive than your car. Maybe they'll roll out a subscription service for the suspension system Loic is running. Every bike will come equipped with it, but you have to pay for every level of adjustment. I'm also sorry if I put a thought in a product...

2/24/2026 4:25pm For both brands, you should always buy the most expensive chain they sell, so XX and XTR as the harder coatings on them often double to triple the usage you can get out of them, more than offsetting the cost increase. Zero friction cycling has the data, but XX flat top chains in particular are the cheapest chain per mile you will find.
