8/17/2026 6:20am While I’m no 32er apologist. I’m old enough to remember this exact argument when 29ers came out. I was working at a shop in College when 29ers started to hit the market, people would come in and actually get pissed at us for having 29ers on the floor. Anyone remember anti-29er stickers on people’s cars? I can remember a few different stickers, one said “One less 29’er”. I even remember being at a trail head in Pisgah in college, my buddy unloaded his 29er from the back of my truck and a “local” said “those aren’t welcome here”. No one...

8/17/2026 6:19am Have we seen a real 32" Fox fork out in the wild before now? I can't remember seeing one yet, just hodgepodge jobs like Neko's DH fork or people adding CNC extensions to 29" forks to lower the axle.

8/17/2026 6:19am If I was a betting man I’d say a new Druid and Dreadnought that gets rid of the shock tunnel and bumps up the travel by 10mm on each bike would be in their future. But it’s just a rumor.

8/17/2026 6:19am Ollie with Forbidden Bikes was bombing around at Mount Washington today on an unmarked frame resembling the eeb layout but the front triangle appeared to be slimmed down with a more conventional BB area. Had a Lyrik on it, no pictures unfortunately.

8/17/2026 6:17am If you're at all familiar with the evolution of the drone industry over the last decade, you might have made the observation that DJI was to the commercial drone industry what Amazon was to the bookstore industry 15 or 20 years earlier. If you don't have a problem with a single Chinese vendor taking over 90% of all e-bike options, then I guess we just keep doing what we're doing. They definitely make a good product, but how hard will they try when they've wiped everyone else out? Just one outsider's observation.

8/17/2026 6:17am That's not really how it works. They designed the bike around a max rider weight of 100kg and all the forces that would be associated with a 100kg rider ripping it down DH tracks (i.e. category 5 conditions). Given that the Cube team races (or will) these at WC level I assume it's more than burly enough for the average Joe. Not to mention there likely some sort of safety factor as part of the design so an extra 1-5kg probably won't mean the end of the world...just don't tell Cube that when filing a warranty claim.

8/17/2026 6:17am below is the amflow PR. you posted the PX which is $10k and has a 700wh batttery. PR and new konas are similarly priced, both with 800wh batteries. kona is alloy/bosch/mech drivetrain, PR is carbon/avinox/s1000 drivetrain. the PR is a 53 pound thicky (it's in my garage right now).

8/17/2026 6:16am Could be 145mm rear with a 160mm fork like the MTe too? The LT and LTe are both 160mm rear with 170mm forks.

8/17/2026 6:16am Most (nearly all) mountain bikes have a maximum weight (mass) limit. They just bury it in the manual and don’t advertise it. I know the previous generation Demo frame had a limit in its manual also.

8/17/2026 6:15am Brutal for Finn. This was his strongest position going into the break, was it not? 2nd overall with 3 to go? (in a season with the biggest names struggling or out) Speshy went from how cool is it they are still winning to... How cool is it they still have a rider left in the series...

8/14/2026 6:42am i just hate that they still do this 'x games format' surrounding a live stream, with traditional numeric scoring. and so many people have this take of 'it NEEDS to be that way'. which i don't quite understand. i mean clearly the judging pisses people off every year anyway so it doesnt sound inherently needed if its never quite accurate. the event should either not be livestreamed or they should push running it as early and quickly as possible to avoid wind. imo it should be either ranked and re-racked 'scoring'... or literally no scoring and just specific awards like...

8/14/2026 6:41am Kids are wearing slip on Vans, baggy jeans and t-shirts. Not sure they're gonna be wearing airbags. Also, I'm not convinced wearing an airbag is going to help prevent catastrophic injuries when someone decides to pull a double back flip off a cliff when literally everyone around him has been telling him it's stupid for years. An airbag certainly wouldn't have done anything for Emil's (possibly) career ending leg/nerve injury. I'm all for people managing their own risk, but ultimately the riders are the ones that decide to drop in and ride what they want in the way they want...

8/14/2026 6:41am I don’t think they would work for Rampage riding. There would’ve been no direct indication Adolf was going to crash until he hit the ground for an imbedded gyroscopic sensor.

8/14/2026 6:40am It's friday and that sounds like the perfect time to start a fight about wheel sizes again! Not exactly MTB, but Cube is supposedly dropping a 32" gravel in it's 2027 lineup. Saw this image floating around, first brand to commit to 30.5" ? Would hate to be an inventory manager right now...

8/14/2026 5:58am mass and force are different. “maximum mass” is actually the exact right wording to nullify your question about g force.
