7/10/2025 12:51pm Listening to Greg talking to Wyn about Danny missing the track walk was pretty telling. I also don't personally subscribe to the argument that it makes for better viewing, I prefer watching a rider's skill through tech, not a contest to see who's got the biggest balls, but then I guess as a seasoned fan I'm not really their target audience.

7/10/2025 12:50pm Hate to bring this up but... For people who know the rules well, what happens to Pivot next year if things continue like this? Is it still possible to grab points from nationals and at least secure wildcard spots consistently? Or... Are they basically cooked...

7/10/2025 12:48pm Make the seattube more than 76°, do not infringe the patent and do not have a stupidly slack seat tube. Win win.

7/10/2025 10:29am 🥱 This track looks fun to ride, but after a few years of watching riders race 90% of the same track and same lines, my motivation to tune in this weekend is way lower than other rounds. It doesn't help that the track is so one lined and times are so tight, that the broadcast gets super monotonous IMO as it's hard to distinguish when someone is on a good run. I haven't seen this track in person and don't know the constraints of the hillside, but why not move the poles over a few feet in more sections? Couldn't...

7/10/2025 10:28am The Cannondale was trying to separate and control damping but had a fixed wheel path. The bike Joe posted has a ‘variable’ wheel path depending on how the two shock compress at any given time.

7/10/2025 10:28am Cannondale had that split/dual shock proto a few years ago that never really saw the light of production.

7/10/2025 10:27am It’s hard to say what’s “better”, Jackson just won 4 in a row on low pivot, Gracey won 2 on high pivot, Max in junior won on mid pivot. But I do agree things are settling around the mid pivot area where you can get the best of both worlds. We could go back in time and try this dual pivot? Low speed impacts the axle moves vertically and high speed impacts the axle moved backwards

7/10/2025 5:55am A more refined version of Mondraker's proto DH bike seen in a Fast AF* vid from Andorra today. Can't tell if they still have the modular bb set up, but does look to have changeable drop outs to change CS length. Carbon version expected later this summer

7/10/2025 5:54am I've been noticing a lot of pedal kickback riding my trailbike equipped with a Pike Ultimate. I didn't know how to describe it besides "when the fork goes into compression I crash a lot more often." Who knew that the fork lowers were directly tied to the cassette? I know I didn't. But it explains all my crashes. THAT is probably why I'm crashing all the time, right? Right? Definitely not a skill issue.

7/8/2025 10:28am That's the stock V10.8 brake adapter for 200mm rotors. It allows for the 3 rear axle positions. They also have a 220mm rotor verison.

7/8/2025 10:27am Caliper position makes no difference on suspension at all. Only thing that matters is which link the brake attaches too. Very strange looking adapter. Only real differences between adapters are: - Position: aesthetic and clearance related - Stiffness: has impacts on vibration and noise That to me looks like someone is either using some very optimized shapes to control the natural frequency (unlikely) or they are trying to shield the caliper slightly from air/mud/etc.

7/8/2025 7:16am On a related note, my favorite part of the race was during Hart's run a spectator was could be heard yelling "LOOK AT THE TIME" and probably some other Warner gold from that classic run.

7/8/2025 7:16am He has popped right back up from some scary looking crashes. The fact that he sort of sat up and then laid back down after this crash was a bit scary. It's good to see he's mostly ok.

7/8/2025 7:15am I think that kind of format would be great for Rampage, where weather determines whether or not the event can actually happen. It might even make a bit of sense for Hardline, where wind and rain could be the difference between making or coming up short on a 90ft jump. For UCI DH, I think they've shown they are willing and able to ride in unrideable (for us) conditions. Weather and changing track conditions are the nature of the game.

7/8/2025 7:14am Correct you are! First we had the go pro turn off half way down the course so he could do a French line, then he paid someone with a wind blower to assist him on the motor way at leogang, Val Di sole was just blatant disrespect for a first time dad so I don’t want to talk about it, and now! We have wbd postponing race runs because of some light rain allowing the last few riders to drop in clear skies, meanwhile they broadcast a race in the snow at the start of the year, and most of...
