Unless it's using a cartridge spring it makes no sense to have a bleed valve up there.

Wouldn’t that be in the wrong place for an RSU fork… why would you want to release pressure from the main air chamber? Or am I missing something

yes. YouTube is the real Death Star — bigger reach than Netflix, free, and dominates across all age groups. It’s not just creators anymore, it’s pro content, global scale, and the algorithm is unmatched. It is the #1 streaming platform, hands down.

When dozens of Emmy winning programs put their stuff on YouTube to reach an audience under 45 wbd is like nah this is too popular to share with google. Can Chris ball ask them for the numbers on how many people watch Jon Oliver on YouTube versus max and hbo. I’d bet the numbers are staggeringly in favor of YouTube. But maybe I’m letting anecdotal evidence cloud my judgement too much.

Watching the awesome Downtime post race show... they mention only THREE riders have made every quali1... Loic, Daprela, and Pinky. fcukin RAD that Pinky has greased Q1 every round this season. (also kinda insane stat that supports how exciting no protection and 'lcq' is...)

Megavalanche is this weekend. https://www.ucc-sportevent.com/en/megavalanche-alpe-dhuez-en/ Here is the start list for the final. https://timingzone.com/magavalanche-alpe-dhuez-2025/#1_16A21B Kilian Bron is usually a top contender and had a crash in qualifying so starting in the 4th row. That should make for some wild helmet cam action of lots of passing. Macky of the youtube pair Sid n Macky is in the 7th row. Last year he came from row 8 to 8th place overall so will be interesting to see how he does this year being a row further up and from watching a recent video I think he has targeted his season on...

At least the Shimano mechanism is consistent and reliable. I’ve generally had good luck with most OneUp products, but even after trying the fix kit they sent for these brand-new pedals, the unclipping mechanism still feels inconsistent. I also doubt the pedals are truly “out of stock.” My guess is they pulled them from shelves because of the known issues and are working on another update. They never should have released the pedals in their current state.

Heavy lever pull is bad. Heavy lever pull as a consequence of a progressive leverage ratio that gives a lot of pad retract AND a lot of power is a good thing. You can't have everything... As for variable leverage ratio (lever feel), Lewis actually does this...

that track is nuts and awesome! jackson being taxed and borderline out of control means race day is going to be hectic. let's just hope it stays dry (right now Sunday calling for light rain which may not be a bad thing).

Doesn't look to be the best built b line I've ever seen. I agree with Cami, I think I'd rather hit the gap.

So Sram are playing with a lighter pull setup... Even though "everyone" swears blind that the heavy pull is the bESt thINg EvAr. This U-turn is nearly as funny as the "we will never make a mineral oil brake". They would make an incredible political party with plays like this.

So I assumed that the Base was going to be different from the other Mavens, but maybe we will see the first case of Trickle Up Technology? At least, maybe the popularity of the base has sent the team off in search of a solution that will give the Ultimate users a chance to adjust leverage the same way we have been able to adjust bit point, throw, etc?

Based on where that 2mm bolt sits, it looks like they've reworked the SwingLink (26 in first diagram) to be more like the Pushrod (18 in second diagram) in the Base lever. Appears that it's adjustable as well. More/less leverage is my guess. Ultimate / Bronze Base

I think people believe that certain frame designs like horst link or split pivot have no influence from the brake on the suspension, so a floating brake wouldn't do anything. The marketing from some of those frames kind of gave that impression. Really they (floating brakes) can alter the braking characteristic of almost any bike in either direction as well (more or less anti rise)

Most likely the trickle down from new maven base- less force needed for initial lever pull. Kaz on the other page did a good review on them and mentioned that it was so good, he’d ride them over the ultimates. You probably know this already, but are just trying to get users to convers on the forum. Touché, if so,
