wethepeople Added a reply to 2026 MTB Tech Rumors and Innovation - Longer and Slacker
3/1/2026 11:23am Spoken like a boomer core lord. That’s what the viral forums seem to have become though. Dario is actually a breath of fresh air in mountain bike media, same as Jason. His perspective is a welcome change from the usual safe, generic industry takes the rest of the media recycles time and time again.

1/26/2026 11:05pm First of all, congrats on having a cool wife that suggests a dope trip like this, I was in Morzine for 2 weeks in august and then subsequently after in Champrey for World Champs. We flew in and out of Geneva, and hired Bike Morzine to cover our transfers and accommodation. They were a huge help and had very reasonable...

1/2/2026 10:28pm You can make the mavens extremely short. At the end of the my bleed process I pressurize the system. This entails doing the whole process as normal, then closing up the lever, opening the caliper, and pressurizing the system using the bleeding edge valve. It doesn’t take much more than a few CCs of fluid. I’m sure it’s not recommended...

12/29/2025 3:41pm It’s not a sexy answer, but I was awaiting a to be released product and had to make do. Now, the switch grade is on a different bike with limited insertion depth.

12/28/2025 6:56pm With a saddle angled nose up, it is much easier to move the bike around underneath you and get your butt more towards the rear axle. Don’t believe me, that’s fine. Look at all the World Cup bikes or even bikes at a local dh race. I don’t love the idea of buying something else additional for my already expensive...

11/19/2025 2:29pm It was said somewhere, I wish I could remember where, that it has an internal jack drive from the BB to the upper pulley.
wethepeople Added a reply to Pick your 3 favorite MTB brands?
10/27/2025 9:59am Santa Cruz Canyon Scott Personal opinion, but let the brands that are doing DtC do that, even as they pursue dealers. This isn’t out of malice, but rather what their core operating values have been perceived as- quality, support, etc. The brands above I’ve had great interactions with. They have an awesome brand image. Most of all though, they are...

8/26/2025 12:23am Going from Bernard to daprela would be the worst look ever. Bernard’s stuff is a bit questionable but you kind of just got to wait and see and Jenna can make her own choices. But to go from someone with a large age gap relationship with questionable beginnings to a guy with sexual assault allegations would be wildly irresponsible in modern times. I really doubt either Bernard or pivot would benefit from exiting the relationship at this time. I think the people on this forum have far stronger opinions on the subject than 95 percent of mtbers including women. And...

8/20/2025 11:07am I saw the new demo in the flesh in July. Full carbon, no lugs. Looked very production. I’d wager spring of 26.

8/14/2025 10:07am I’d happily start the crowd fund campaign to get you a DH bike so you can do this in one weekend at Big Bear. Only this time, no felt or Gravity logo, Vital only.
wethepeople Added a comment about bike check Norco Aurum HSP "Swim"
7/21/2025 10:14am I ran a 29 hsp mullet and had an athlete I worked with run a 27.5 hsp mullet. The 27.5 had a super high bb, and was insanely slack (61.5). It looked weird to see them ride it. The 29 set up with an offset bushing in the lower shock eyelet and a 27.5x2.5 made it so the bike was easily rideable with the head angle only being .5 slacker and a touch lower bb. This helped the bike with all turn shapes and was a significant improvement.

7/3/2025 9:25pm Most likely the trickle down from new maven base- less force needed for initial lever pull. Kaz on the other page did a good review on them and mentioned that it was so good, he’d ride them over the ultimates. You probably know this already, but are just trying to get users to convers on the forum. Touché, if so,

1/11/2025 5:50pm Not trying to be a dick, but what makes you think this is an Orbea? IIRC, the pivot hardware is similar to what transition uses and it has ANVL stuff.
