3/2/2024 1:12pm Thanks friend. I guess it was time to make an account after all, haha. To clarify a few things: - Yes, the title is abrasive, but I feel that I’ve justified that opinion in (too much) detail throughout the video. I’m not on YouTube to make money, considering I make less than C$4 RPM after tax. I also never pushed my resume/background in my video. - After I connected the rear brake, I cycled the pistons to probably 50% of what was recommended in the manual to ensure they were moving smoothly, which they were. I noticed minimal difference between...

2/15/2024 6:44am Sorry, I went off the Chromag website at 480g. Which is also basically the same, to be fair! But it's a bigger pedal and not exactly built fragile... speaks to the burliness of the Renthal.

2/15/2024 2:56am They must be built really tough to come in heavier than the big ol' Chromag Dagga. Seems like a good long term ownership prospect for those who like modest sized pedals

1/30/2024 5:51pm SO HARD TO PICK Headset cable routing dies forever. Passing a law that all stems and handlebars have to be two-piece on new bikes (you can buy your stupid one-piece bar/stem combos aftermarket if you want them so bad). All mountain bikes run a 73mm BSA BB. Downhill bike engineers, see next bulletpoint if you're worried about chainlines. One front and rear axle standard for all mountain bikes. It could be 15x110 and 12x148 and it would be amazing. It's easy to build downhill forks with too much torsional stiffness (see: OG Fox 40), so you don't really need a...

Still can't seem to buy the Attack HPL in the version that was tested (GXE casing/Full 40 compound). But it's not just Vee. The 26" Conti Kryptotals announced at Sea Otter haven't come to market yet either. It's a first world problem but both of these are the specific tires I want to buy next haha.

10/31/2023 9:11pm Hearing that the sizing chart recommended a size too large for 4 out of 5 bikes is worth the watch alone. Hearing that there were no complaints of imbalance from short chainstays - even on the mega long Canyon - in fact, to the contrary, they made turning more whippy and manuals and pops easier, was worth the listen also. Agreed most modern bikes have too low a stack in big sizes - buy a riser bar. Still relevant for all riders for so many reasons: Kinematics, spec, geo (sta - note the slack STA on the Enduro was not...

TEAMROBOT Liked a comment about product review Tested: Newmen Beskar Flat Pedal
10/17/2023 6:08pm I agree with BBM above. Pedals are like helmets for me, "lightest" being more of a red flag than a selling point. If super light pedals tickle your fancy that these might be the ticket, but I pretty regularly (and accidentally) do horrible things to my pedals on rocks and roots. Survivability is pretty high on my priority list, like a helmet.

10/17/2023 6:08pm This is a way better, more nuanced take than "who rides flat pedals and cares about weight?" To add some missing nuance to my own comment, I think there are plenty of trail riders on flat pedals who do care about weight, and pedals are a pretty good place to feel a difference. If it's compromising safety then I'm not on board.
