Thanks for the post (and noting the broken link). I just took care of it. As to the questions... 1) Its pretty light. The low variant has a smaller magnet and weighs ~66 grams (total) whereas the medium and tall variant have larger magnets and weigh ~88 grams (total). These are untrimmed numbers. 2) While pedaling, there is zero additional friction. Pedaling forces always pull the chain off the magnet (immediately, you will not notice it). There actually is an option. You need to disassemble the lever and remove the pushrod. This video shows how to remove the lever. Follow the procedure up until 3:00 where he unthreads the lever from the pushrod. The pushrod is secured by a little washer and a circlip that sits in a groove inside the lever. Remove the circlip to get the pushrod out. Now you can cut the thread on the pushrod a little bit further using an M4*0.7 thread cutting die. Reassemble according to instructions in reverse...
