Compared to the OneUp: the Loam is ever so slightly less grippy, particularly when it gets wet. The OneUp has another millimeter of "effective concavity" if you want to nerd out about it (the height difference between the tallest pin and the surface of the pedal body). More importantly, the PNW has that central "ridge" over the spindle running the whole away across the pedal body, while on the OneUp it stops short of the actual pedal edge. In my experience, this "ridge" gives the shoe sole something more to potentially slip on, especially when a bit of mud comes...

I can't seem to break my habit of placing the balls of my feet over the spindles. It works okay, not awesome, on Oneup Composite. But given that my bike has an unusually low BB, I figured their aluminum pedal could be a nice upgrade. The price held me back long enough that now this has come out as a competitive option. (I got some used Vaults in the meantime and pedal strike all the time). The Canfield pedals look real nice but seem too convex for my foot position. I'd buy 10 pairs of pedals just to try them...

I have been riding Canfield pedals for a handful of years because the convex doesn't give me sore feet on long rides, I like to move my feet around or dab when getting loose, and I found them to be plenty grippy if you have good techniques...I never actually feel I need more grip as long as my shoes aren't too stiff or are broken in if they are stiff shoes. I would love to try these, or hear a comparison from someone who likes Canfield pedals....

Thanks, it was fun selecting everything to be exactly what I wanted. Vigilante on the rear is great. More efficient than you would think and grip for days.

Really good selection of components on a nice looking, unique frame. I'm a fan! How you like the Vigilante as a rear tire?

Hey Factor, heads up, your pedal page has the hub description text on it and no information about the pedals.
