5/12/2026 4:41pm Could the Rocky bike just be stuff they already had the ball rolling on before their financial troubles a couple years ago. Now they are in a better money spot but still have a bunch of 2-3 year frames/motor packages they now need to get rid of first before bringing new designs to market, hence the "out of date" package...

5/12/2026 4:26pm Long time lurker, first time poster here. For some background I’m an aerospace composites engineer and spent several years in Advanced Product Development with an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials. There’s so much to get into on this topic and if folks are interested I’d love to start a dedicated thread on materials and environmental impacts. The TLDR is, carbon fiber as a green product on its own is a fallacy. The raw fiber production may result in a certain level of carbon sequestering, but the process is still so energy intensive I wouldn’t call it an environmental positive. As...

For individuals: "anyone modifying their ebike to exceed the maximum authorized speed – currently 25 km/h for electric bicycles and 45 km/h for speed pedelecs – could now have their bike impounded, face one year in prison and fines of up to €30,000." 5/6/2026 11:24am my 2 cents after spending some time on the bike is that I really want to spend more time on the bike. A couple anecdotes here: I was surprised at how well it pedalled and the lack of heft that I was expecting after looking at it. After giving it back for a month I had to film on it with no time to get familiar again. First trail was a rapid North Van classic that I have ridden a bunch and I was immediately sending it. It was extremely poppy while still being planted, able to pull for all...

5/5/2026 1:02am I am fine with 12spd Eagle X01 durability, except for the clutches. Although I always liked Shimano I wasn‘t blown away by their 12spd mtb stuff. What absolutely amazes me is their 11spd Linkglide XT! I have 10.000km on my first cassette and second chain, now it is worn, but it still doesn‘t miss a single shift. I never even had to adjust the cable tension. It is so good, it is almost too good to be true. 250-300g more weight on the cassette to the Eagle. And only 11-50t, not 10 to 50t.

5/4/2026 11:45am Thank you all for the interest in our bikes and in our distribution / sales model. To give you a bit of context, we’re currently a team of 9 people at RAAW, based in Germany, and we ship worldwide directly from here. The US has actually grown into our biggest market after Germany, which is pretty wild considering that every RAAW in the US has been shipped individually from Germany. Our goal is, of course, to make the ordering process and ownership experience as easy as possible. Having stock in the US would be ideal, but that comes with a...

4/25/2026 11:06am I think the course looks great. Natural, off camber, multiple lines in the trees. I think it'll break down and cut up great. As others have said, I like to see some janky slow speed corners that will seperate the riders instead of bike park berms. A new venue in a new corner of the world. This is what I was hoping to see. Looking forward to seeing some of the practice footage

4/25/2026 11:05am Judging by some comments here and certainly on the pink site, it seems there's a serious issue with average Joe MTBers being able to judge the gradient, difficulty and length of a track from watching GoPro footage. This Korean track looks like it's gonna be awkward, tech, blown out and quite steep + off camber. Probably not fun to ride, but it will make for a challenging race.
