3/12/2026 10:24am I had a phone call with the CEO and there were no other options on the table than that to leave. Worst part was that then following that they folded the team but I guess if I had of kept racing they wouldn't have. Anyways I think it happens more often than you think I know personally of some other riders who went through the same thing unfortunately.

PUSH Industries Liked a forum topic Enginerding: Inverted Forks and Front Hubs
3/10/2026 7:33pm Front Hub configuration, style, and bearing size have little influence on the performance that you get out of a conventional or "right side up" MTB suspension fork. This is due to the fact that the lower legs are one-piece, connected by the lower leg fork brace. The same cannot be said for manufacturers of inverted MTB forks. With an inverted design, the hub ties the two lower legs together. The more robust the hub, the more robust the performance from the chassis and vice versa. Is it possible that we'll see a shift in front hub designs as Inverted forks...

3/2/2026 12:44pm from Hans Rey about ebike development Link: https://hansrey.com/blog/ An Open Letter to the Bicycle Industry By Hans Rey To the leaders, builders, advocates, and riders who shape our industry, I’m writing because I care deeply about where bicycles—and electric bicycles—are headed. We are at a crossroads. The decisions we make about language, power limits, and definitions will determine whether Class 1 e-bikes remain accepted as bicycles—or get grouped with much more powerful machines that don’t belong in the same category. It’s time to define our language and it’s time to draw a line in the sand of when e-bikes become...

2/27/2026 9:56pm Heard on a podcast Jesse Melamed talk about helping out a local company, I'm pretty sure he rides on RMU skis. He talked about how it ended up on the vital forum so more fuel to the fire. Now here's hoping Dave W let's them have some longer chainstays.

2/26/2026 12:34pm https://www.performancetrends.com/PDFs/Ohlins-TTX-Shocks-Tech-Adjustmen… is a pretty good read that talks about using poppet valves in a TTX 40. I'm not an engineer, I don't play one on TV, but I do think that sometimes people on the Internet get wound up concerning the finer points of X vs Y. Everything has tradeoffs and various systems have benefits and limitations so at the end of the day a poor/limited implementation of a system that contains X or Y may not address or overcome those limitations. The flip side of that coin is the limitations may not matter much or be noticeable in the...

2/26/2026 12:34pm This 100% - peoole get too hung up on single details about a damper without inderstanding it only makes up for a tiny fraction of the performance - you can make almost any damper curve with multiple different valves but some will be easier than others, so each manufacturer will prioritise what they think achieves their specific goals. A "poppet" can be combined with a shimmed main piston to be linear or even progressive, while shims on both can be extremely digressive, there is a lot more to is than the basic valve design. Also "poppet" gets used a blanket...

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic What does “flickable” mean to you?
2/25/2026 8:36pm I think this is a great valid question. Here's my two cents on how to make a bike flickable/playful/poppy/unstable (four words that mean basically the same thing in MT
: 1. Shorter chainstays. This has been beaten to death. 2. Higher BB. As others have said, your bike is more stable front to back when your feet are below the axles, and less stable when your feet are above them. 3. Smaller wheels. A mullet is more "flickable" than a 29" bike, and a dual 650 bike is going to be more unstable than a mullet bike. 26" bikes are king...

TEAMROBOT Liked a comment about Feature Make ‘em Easier to Pull! SRAM Maven B1 SwingLink Review
2/25/2026 4:58pm This raises so many questions and so many new opportunities for tweaking with brakes. Now you can fine tune your Maven: Rotor size (180, 200, 220) Rotor shape and thickness (HS2 vs. Centerline, 1.8mm vs. 2.0) Pad compound (Organic vs. Metallic) Lever pull ratio (A1, B1, Base) Piston size (4x18 B1 caliper vs. 2x19.5mm + 2x18mm A1 caliper) That's 72 different combinations using SRAM Maven-specific components, and that's before we even talk about aftermarket pad compounds, rotor sizes, etc. And then there's the Shmaven crew. A lot to think about.

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic Tweener: make a small bike big, or a big bike small
2/21/2026 5:43pm Since I've been reading all the comments, I wanted to clarify that there's a world of difference between these two genres of responses that keep popping up in this thread: "Previously I'd never ventured beyond the manufacturer's recommended size for my height, but then I tried sizing up and it's my preferred frame size now". vs. "I've tried many different frame sizes, including bikes that are bigger and smaller than recommended, and I'm pretty confident that I know what my preferred size is. However, I'm stuck choosing between two sizes on a bike I'm looking at, one that I know...

2/17/2026 1:31pm Pretty partial to the smuggler. Fox 36 at 140mm. float x at 130 or 140mm with a super poppy fast setup. The smiles that thing makes grossly outweighs the park bike and eeeb. Kinda wish that there was a way to make it a mullet with out having the bb/cranks too low.
