11/19/2025 11:58pm In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

11/14/2025 8:19pm Some years ago, I got a new rear tire, a 27.5 Maxxis of some sort, and got to work. I've done enough tires I don't really think when doing it. This was the tightest tire ever. I was not even close. I put it in the sun, grabbed my steel tire irons, and worked it a bit before I damaged it. I finally took a second and looked at the tire; it was a 26. Huh, I grab the box it came in out of the trash, and it says 27.5. It was a new, unopened box. Easy fix after...

11/12/2025 9:53am 2 weeks ago I finally got around to having time to set up the new crankbrothers synthesis wheelset from vital fantasy (still so stoked thank you vital and crankbrothers). Pulled the tires and tannus tubeless off my oem set (which I can mount by hand without Tyre levers). Try to install them on the new set. 29r front goes on easy by hand. 27.5 rear is unbelievably tight to get the last little bit and needs levers to get on. Won’t hold air longer than 20min. Spray it with soapy water and it blows bubbles around the valve stem and...

11/5/2025 5:05pm Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

11/3/2025 7:08pm A response to a post I left on the PB thread... " you are correct. We had an entire organization of employees based in the US that were ready to keep this brand alive. Most of us have been there for 5 plus years and made North America over 50 % of YTs business. Instead Markus choose to screw us over and will try and reopen with all new staff and under his control. We are all at peace with it. We took care of so many customers the best we could. US was constantly bottle necked from YTG. We...

11/3/2025 7:08pm Not for nothing, this was exactly how it went down with the last YT USA operation. Lies, breach of contract, hubris- it all has a common denominator: Markus. There is much more to the story, but I ain't Brines, won't type it all out...haha! It sucks that so many people were affected by one guy's ego. Hopefully the crew can pick up the pieces and move to greener pastures.

11/2/2025 9:54pm First day on GR4's today. My dh bike was out of commission, so I was on my ebike instead which in turn requires more braking anyway. All the boys of course were on dh bikes so I was swinging off it to keep up. These brakes are absolutely phenomenal, I've used all of the top dog brakes, radic, t4, maven, intend, maximas,I'd rank these at the top of the list. Reasonable dead stroke, firm bite point, wonderful modulation, very good power and easy bleed. If you've been put off hopes before because of vague bite point etc, give these a...

11/1/2025 12:07pm Oh ok sweet as, so you have an issue with them following a completely normal distribution model? Were you planning on shipping it back to canada for a service every time as well? I normally wouldn't engage here but needed to clarify - The european distributors are the ones carrying shocks, parts and tools to make sure you're looked after in a reasonable time frame and the pricing is often dictated by certain things outside of their control. If that makes them too expensive for you then thats cool - you're welcome to get something locally produced if saving money...
