Useful for an amateur league where finances or other life commitments might mean missing a race. For professional racers where the world cup race circuit is literally their main job, no. Part of the skill of the overall is being fit, healthy and consistent. Perhaps if the rumours of a 15 round season are true (I'll beleive it when I see it) then there could be a separate "continental overall" champions awarded from points earned in that continent only.

Half right. The Tasmanian Government funded $1.4 million to secure 3 years (2024, 25 & 26) of Hardline in Maydena. Maydena (also Derby in) Tasmania traditionally hosts an EWS/EDR round every second year, so they didn't "loose" a race in 2024 after hosting the EDR in 2023, they simply had their traditional year off. Strong rumor is that they and...

i don't think any resort in the US would be willing to take on the insurance liability of an event like hardline.

It makes sense for local beer league where people have other commitments in life, but not for Pros. Consistency maters. What might be more interesting is if there was more money at stake for teams to collect points like the F1 Constructors Standings and cash paid out for better standings. Teams are two men, one women, one jr men, one jr women. Can't have a team like Specialized with just three men.

funny edit at 6:10. Kathy Sesler hasn't changed in 16 years. Literally. she almost has the exact same clothes on in 2008 and 2023.

I believe from listening to the Downtime Podcast with Laurent Delorme that its more contractual. Loic gets all of the tech first (for a season) then it filters down hence why Finn only got the suspension this season. I'd imagine that Finn has something similar in place hence Jordan does not have the tech that Loic an Finn both currently have. They put Jordan on the old bike last season as they had the most data on it to get him going (again as per the podcast)

to me it looks more like MotoGP bikes controls. How top athletes like Bruni process information at the speed they're going is pretty nuts!

So the cameras were out for qualis, all runs recorded, Tahnee and Rob on the commentary, timing running and we didn't get to watch it? And no negative comments flooding social media platforms? Wow! If only WB/Disco had the public by the balls like RB do

figured with the white helmet he's been running that the RB helmet was on it's way at some point this season.

Maybe you can contact Pushy's / Bike Bug who import YT into Australia to throw a tape measure against the bottle to find out?

In 2011, Wiggle was purchased by Bridgepoint, a private equity firm, for £180 million. Wiggle merged with Chain Reaction Cycles in 2016 under the new company of Wiggle CRC, which was sold to German conglomerate Signa Sports United, in an acquisition valued at $645 million. Wiggle was sold for £3 million to Frasers Group in February.

Oh I was literally joking. There's ZERO chance viewers have any say on this. You think Gee would give a flying fuck? From what I heard the reason it's not happening is a) they couldn't get a decent netting solution up in time and b) sounds like they ran against a timeframe to actually fix the jumps. I'd even be convinced they didn't think the fix was feasible. From what I can see the reason the transition is so tight is just literally physical space. Could mellow the lip, but you still have a G out issue on the run...

Yeah, Hardline is great but seeing it go this direction makes it feel like a sideshow to try and pull in clips views on social media. Shitloads of people are going to share clips of this jump but those folks likely won't know what the event is, or even what the sport is. I know this concept was created by Dan to make a race with the biggest more technical features on it and I totally understand that but it seems to me that this is entering try hard vs something genuinely good for the sport or even interestingly. Don't...
