3/10/2024 4:14am Nigel was a part of the CRC Nukeproof//Nukeproof SRAM teams i thought ? To my understanding Conti Nukeproof was run by Mark Cumming and is an entirely separate entity from the other Nukeproof teams.

3/5/2024 8:12pm About reducing SKUs- I've always wondered how the big companies could offer so many varieties of essentially the same bike. For example Fuel EX is currently listed with 22 variants, most have 2 color options and 7! sizes. 308 possible skus for one model of bike. That can’t be cheap or easy to manage, stock, warranty etc.

3/5/2024 5:37pm Further staff, spending and SKU cuts at Trek. Overall spending cut by 10% with cuts to programs and positions. Trek would substantially reduce its stock keeping units (SKUs), Trek’s model year 2026 SKUs will be 40% lower than model year 2024. This means that model year 2026 inventory will be 20% lower, measured in days in stock, than they were...

3/4/2024 3:50am YouTube views can be bought, so not always trusted. If youtube views are the new metric sponsors should be giving up on racing full stop. Channels like Berm Creek gets 300k plus views and over 500k on most uploads. For a decade the teams and sponsors trusted Redbull TV's ratings no questions asked, why the change of heart? Redbull doesn't...

3/4/2024 2:24am 717k views sound impressive but all it takes is a YouTube user to watch a video for a minimum of 30 seconds and its a count. Redbull never publicly shared (teams receive them but its under a NDA) their Redbull TV ratings, neither does Disco/WB and that's where the true value for sponsors is found.

3/4/2024 2:18am You get massive numbers in those regions of the world. Lots of people watch on their phones. They typically aren't mtb customers. It's just eyeballs. So it's not a relevant audience. Great for Red Bull. Not great for a bike brand trying to sell things in the USA or Europe.

2/25/2024 4:15am Ironically the riders who weren’t that great to watch were the ones invited because of their social media following or the paint on their helmet. Those guys certainly aren’t surviving on minimum age. A 10th place at a World Cup will get you noticed. A 10th place at Rampage or Hardline won’t. Are you saying that these events aren’t worth the risk for the riders who aren’t capable of winning? You could be right, but nobody becomes an MTB rider to get rich.

2/25/2024 4:16am Agree that once the actual racers started it was entertaining. It felt that Redbull needed to fill their quota of sponsored athletes, hence the RB freeride/freeracer riders are invited. Feels that many of the DH specialist Redbull racers don't want to risk risk their DH World Cup on what is (at the risk of being down voted) a Redbull promotional...

2/25/2024 3:50am Not sure what I’m watching…is this supposed to be a race? edited to add: My comment above was posted about 1 hour into the broadcast. Aside from Lou Fergusons wild run and the excellent commentary, I wasn’t really enjoying the event at that point. For an hour we were watching riders simply ride down a track. I have huge respect for anyone who can ride that track, but as a form of entertainment, it wasn’t doing it for me. It’s not like the free riders could showcase their talent and throw tricks on the jumps. But, by the end when...

2/23/2024 3:37am I agree on the Hill comments. Although I don't agree about RB vs. UCI. RB could care less about what the UCI think, Hardline is it's own class of event. Always has been and will be. The comparison to World Cups is not really neseccary and is kinda keyboard warrior in a different way no? Hardline existed while RB was broadcasting world cups and RB TV and the branch of RB that run hardline are different companies. So yeah. Cool
