Let the legal systems sort it out. If it's information that is not meant to be public yet, it won't be. To respect her privacy as well as allow legal systems to follow their course we shouldn't dig. Digging for team rumors and staff/personnel changes are one thing, this is something else. I would be willing to bet we'll know the name at some point anyways.

Whistler rumours, Lake Placid rumours, Queenstown rumours all appear to be false if that provisional schedule is accurate. I wonder who's driving the Euro centric calendar, WBD or the teams?

How can teams plan for a new season when the UCI can't get the schedule out? The teams need to time to get their finances and entice new sponsors to help, and you cannot do that without information in a reasonable amount of time. I don't understand the need to be so covert about this information. Any insight?

I find the emphasis on social media presence worrying. Racing should be about who's fastest, not who gets the most likes.

His bosses are Wb.....They spent $100million on making a film, realized it might not make as much as they wanted so canned it (no one will ever see it) so they could take it as a tax write down. Chris Balls job isn't to make dh/enduro better, it's to make it profitable. And he's smart enough to know that if doesn't do it (and quickly) then Wb will kick him to the curb and find someone else who says they can. If some Mba at Wb says they'd like man on man racing with compulsory pit stops halfway down because...

I was actually in talks to do some contract work at Pinkbike on their buy/sell page, but they stopped responding after looking thru my comment history. Then I got permanently banned.

Yes, I make significantly more money doing software engineering, but man its hard to get passionate about getting up every day and writing software that processes credit cards.

How many people are actually comparing every single rider on the two sections, especially if you already know one is 5 seconds (for example) behind the pace? I love this sport and watch every race, but I find myself zoning out after watching a few riders hit the same sections. For making comparisons I look at split times and overall times, especially when there aren't any real line choice decisions. I get what you're saying about other riders already starting their runs, but when the technology is there to show replays interspersed with live footage at the end of runs...

One thing I don't understand with race coverage (applies to RB, WBD and whoever broadcast this event) is why on runs with reduced coverage they show the same part of the track over and over again. The cameras are all set up, why can't they show different parts of the track as different riders are coming down. It'd be far more interesting than seeing the same sections repeatedly. Is it just down to lazy direction? Imagine you were a new viewer tuning in to your first race, just to spend the first hour watching riders hit the same sections of...

They want it to be as big as it needs to be to satisfy their profits. They really don’t care if it’s “big” for the benefit of the sport, only if it’s a benefit to them. The two don’t align and never will which is the crux of the problem.

Both the HSP and the M29 suffered from terrible kinematics. They are hyper progressive resulting in a very soft initial 30% of travel and very firm last 30% of travel. The result is you end up with wallowy midstroke support and harshness deep in the travel disrupting the rider position and requiring a lot of rider input to keep stable. The lack of support in the first half of the travel made cornering very challenging. HSP in particular had a very flat initial leverage curve which meant compression support came on late and delayed rider inputs during corner engagement. Of...

I'd love to see Josh back at a WC, but if the rumours are right it's hard to see how it could happen with the new rules.
