eBikes remind of mobile phones in the year 2000. Lot of changes happening monthly/annually. Probably better to do a limited run like Forbidden or Crestline than produce larger quantities that will be outdated in a year. Rail+ has the pregnant down tube. Avinox has sucked the air out of a lot bikes simply on aesthetics. Fuel+ and the TQ system is intriguing, but with the cost Trek is charging, why not add a kilo/pound or two and get an amflow?

Excuse my French, but could we fucking please stop calling bikes "analog", "acoustic", or -the worst I've heard- "bio"? Bikes are bikes. Ebikes are something else. Now get off my fucking lawn you punks!

As a mostly analogue rider who also has an ebike, I was surprised at how rude, even nasty, a lot of guys on regular bikes are—even when you're as polite as possible trying to pass them on an ebike. Before I had an ebike, my buddies and I would kind of snicker at ebikers after they passed, but never to their face. I figured I'd see some of this once I got one, but I was surprised at how rude some "analogue" riders are for no reason, and how often it happens. It's pretty much an every-other-ride occurrence, which is...

Name a more annoying sound than an American complaining about ebikes. Honestly, we've all heard your opinions before. We know you have them. I don't really like or want an ebike either but there are 12,000,000 whingy comments online about how you're too pure or too dedicated or too fit or too angry at unskilled riders and you're mad about it. We don't need any more. Talk about the market or discontinuation of normal bikes, sure, but complaining about being passed on a climb track or peoples ass cracks is tiring af at this point. You've been yelling about it...

Surely you don't take the lift at Whistler bike park or shuttle with your buddies then? Because you're a purist, right?

Does anyone know why spesh got out of soft goods? They were great value and very popular and I wish they kept at it.Even if selling tech apparel is not sunshine, rainbows and 80% margins, they had to be making some money while keeping me happy.

It's obvious Trump & co are doing oodles of gross stuff. But unless this is just a money grab that will go nowhere, they are still trying to solve a problem. And it is a problem. Recently (tariff wars) we were unable to buy magnets for our products because the Chinese government had to confirm the release of them for every customer. You can imagine the burecrautic gridlock that caused. But buying complete rotors or complete motors? Not a problem. Just to ensure more margin stayed in China. The situation has since gotten better and you can again buy raw...

I was going to make a post about the core Lenz customer being a boomer suspicious of tubeless tires and dropper posts, but I thought better of it. Then I happened upon a boomer posting theirs with a rigid post. And I'm back because my soul is sour and withered.

The serial number on the pic can be read as "1270890-0002-T" which translates to Description: Bomber Z2, 29in, Marzocchi, 130, RAIL 2.0, Sweep-Adj, Shiny Blk, Neutral/Gloss Blk Logo, 15QRx110, 1.5 T, 58HT, 44mm Rake, YG, AM I suppose the lowers might be from something else.

I know I'm repeating common talking points that have been said over and over for years. But every so often it hits me, as I don't really follow regular mtb pricing too much anymore. But when I saw the tallboy release the other day, and it is a beautiful bike, all I could think was "How could anyone consider the entry level spec for 6k when a similar spec Amflow PR for 4,5k exists?" Apples and oranges, I'm not saying the ebike will be better for everything, but from a simple "add up all the parts on those frames and...

Stop talking about Ford, with enough mentions the Ford sales team will find this thread and think we want more of the abominations. https://ford-bikes.com/collections/frontpage?srsltid=AfmBOopli28vcdxT2i…

Take it easy buddy. I’m not trying to derail the entire conversation but also think it’s allowed to have an aside now and again. There’s plenty of off topic quips that go on in this thread.

I can comment on these setups. I have posted on vital MTB a little before and felt there was a closed mindedness to this kind of a-typical stuff... That seems to be changing in MTB circles. I am not here to change any minds. I have my own opinions, coming from the moto side of things and the trends in MTB just do not feel right in terms of front wheel grip and rider / body position. I post regularly on VitalMX and have been a motocross racer for most of my life at the amateur / expert level. June...

Surely not every bike fits everyone, but I do think people freak out over mere millemeters when the fact is - you can get used to just about anything. Its just fucking bikes. I've got an XL GT Fury with 515 reach & 70mm bars: best DH bike I've ever had in 20+ years... a 2019 YT capra with 480 reach and 50mm bars: super fun, still going strong. A size L 2023 Marin Alpine with 490 reach and 35mm...no 50mm... no 80mm bars. Super fun. I move around on these bikes, jump them all mercilessly and continue to get...
