It is possible to fit a Fox Airspring with the sleeve in a Zeb. A german guy has done it, I think he only needed one small part to get the spring fixed in the Zeb Chassis. It fit suprisingly well, I had some back and forth with him if it would fit, I could ask him what exactly he did and modified to make it happen.

I'm not sure I agree with that statement as simple as that. I personally have never felt that issue on the top end switching from 170 x 32 to 155 x 30T. I run a 10x51 cassette for perspective. Now I don't ride a lot of roads with a 1x12 drivetrain, so YRMV. With shorter cranks I've found you naturally increase your cadence compared to longer. To keep power the same it's said a 10cm change in cranks would require a 6% increase in cadence to keep the same speed. If your normal cadence is 80rpm, you'd increase to 85rpm...

Brook and Bernard are pretty much the same weight, but thats not super important. There are much heavier riders using production bikes and they can still put some massive strain on it too! There should be more than enough margin for error in these frames that hardline isn't an issue. If it was an ultra light prototype just for racing I could understand but they shouldn't be taking that to hardline if it was, and that was a production frame being used which is not a great sign. This relates to one thing that always bugged me - production bikes...
