got an email about this kickstarter for an in-tire pressure gauge that connects to a garmin device called Outrider. looks interesting. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/outride/outrider-a-tire-pressure-s… "A low-cost, real-time tire pressure sensor made to improve the safety and performance of your bike's only two contacts with the ground. It fits securely inside of your tubeless tires and gives real-time pressure readings and alerts to your Garmin device via wireless transmissions."

No need to rush they are already collaborating with another carbon company. The molds appear to be ready and the new bar should be identical in performance. Just a supplier change really.

77designz from Germany (same people behind Kavenz bikes) They collaborated with WR1 to produce that sleeved bar for their one piece stem. WR1 then sold it as a debranded product while 77 sold it with their logo on it. There a PB article from 2019 on this too and the owner confirms in the comments that both products are identical. https://youtu.be/oncvK_zgMlo?si=lHjgTRTCstwYGwwG

Ok, so yes, chiming in hee. First to not as has already been pointed out we have a TON of headsets and combos. @ebruner happy to help with yours specifically (or honestly anyone for that matter) but please DM me so we don't clog the thread. General info on chiming in: 1. split races: agreed they are not ideal, and can lead to creaking. but see OEM requirements to speed up install of products and make assembly easier and cheaper at times. Yes we offer it, but only because of a request. If you haveone and want to swap it...

Depending on your set up, they exist: HS Extension – Production Privée I'm running one on a 160 Status with a 29er fork. So far, so good. Going from a 29 to 27.5 front likely provided a bigger feel difference than any mm or two difference in front end height did.

Chiming in to the running smaller wheels and correcting geo: I've used a Cane Creek Angleset to make a full 29er with no flip chip mullet. The lower cup is 10mm and with it in the +1 steepening position paired with a 10mm longer fork it gets the BB back close to stock. I did this on an ebike and didn't bang the motor up more than usual. Headset routing is the devil to most people because of maintenance, but giving up these adjustment options, reach and head angle are why it's the devil to me.

These work fine. I use them for making A2C longer or compensating for smaller wheel diameter when fiddling with 27.5 wheels in MX or full 29 setups. They are a super tight fit though, and I am not sure if they can ever be removed after installed and fully seated.

You mean something like this? Not sure why you'd want to make a 29" fork even taller for a 27.5" front wheel, as it's already 20mm taller than an equivalent 27.5" fork. But if you did, Reverse Components has you covered: https://reverse-components-usa.com/collections/headsets/products/revers… [EDIT: Wolf Tooth used to make one too that pressed into the lower headtube, but it's discontinued now. Probably because it's pretty sketchy. Specialized famously shipped their first gen 650b Stumpjumper with an extended lower headset cup as well, because it was a repurposed 29" front triangle).

I asked ChatGPT what Sesame Seed was talking about and to be okay with being brutally honest and distasteful if it wants. Enjoy: This comment seems to be a convoluted attempt at drawing parallels between professional bike racing and motorsports, particularly Formula 1, but it’s a jumbled mess of loose associations and misplaced terminology. Let’s break it down brutally: 1. Chain Drive Skepticism : The commenter kicks off with skepticism about recent changes to bike racing due to “chain drive,” but gives no real details or context for what exactly they are skeptical about. It feels like they are grasping...

Where the hell were you when this exact issue with this exact company came up like 7 or 8 years ago? Oh right, I remember, at the local o-ring store.

Mechanically speaking, nothing is gained with a 15mm axle over a 20mm. What we gained by going with the (mechanically inferior) 15mm axle is the rapid and widespread adoption of thru-axles across all mountain bikes, then road bikes, then gravel and CX bikes. If the axle choices in 2012 (or whenever) were viewed as a binary choice between lightweight XC-oriented QR axles and a heavy DH-oriented 20mm thru axle, I think it would have taken a lot longer for product managers to go out on a limb and spec better forks and axles. 15mm axles gave product managers needed cover...
