Schroeder will eventually develop enough self-confidence to wear his waist purse with pride. Thankfully, I'm now old enough to not care what anybody thinks about it (or anything else). 🤣 - Johan

Here is the "Tallest Boy" I built a few years back. TB4 with cascade link, 7.5 x 2.0 coil shock, and 150mm fork. Geo is basically the same as the current HT3 but with a more progressive leverage curve and less extreme reach/stack. Rear travel is around 147mm. It is a ripper, so good with the coil shock!

Enduro doesn’t need investment from governing bodies. Nor governing bodies at all, just people with bikes who want to ride a bunch of sick trails with timers. Enduro is a mindset, professional enduro is dead but it was doomed from the start.

Enduro is not dead. World Cup enduro is dead, enduro was and always will be for the common folk like us.

Changing the shim stack allows you to change the shape of the damping curve. Steep/shallow nose, linear, progressive, etc. The clamp shim makes the whole stack stiffer or softer, the basic "shape" remains the same. One of the assets Vorsprung has is a massive tuning database they've developed over the past 10+ years, so they should have the damper curve shapes pretty dialed for each application. I have an Avalanche tuned Bomber CR, Fluid Focus Bomber CR (with their mid valve piston/tune and mods), stock RS Super Deluxe, and soon a Telum. All the same size, all tuned for the...

As much as I like the Telum and the clamp shim adjustment, I don't think it can match performance and tunability of a custom shim stack. IMO a properly tuned Avy will still come with fever performance trade-offs than a properly set up Telum.

I think it's an indication of the size of the country you inhabit. My sister lives in the US and thinks nothing of driving 7-8 hours and I have a Dutch friend who thinks driving somewhere over an hour away is a major mission.

Where I live, Volvo dealerships are the douchiest and shittiest of them all, and it is one of the reasons I will never drive a Volvo again. I hope RM isn't even remotely similar.

A Trail/Endurance Kryptotal Re was the biggest tire mistake I ever made. Heavy, slow-rolling, hard as rock with zero grip. The worst of all worlds.

GT is an interesting one for me because I thought their branding, online marketing, products, and athletes have been consistently strong for 10+ years, since the Atherton's at least. I've ridden a GT and really liked it, and they seemed to be good products. Their struggles seem to be more fundamental to their business structure, i.e. where do you buy one? I don't even know the answer to that question. Back in the day they were an entry level product at Performance Bikes, then at Dicks Sporting Goods. Could you get a GT at REI once they started carrying Cannondale...

This is the direction Archer should have taken. Electric shifting ease, mech shifting replacement costs, and everything tucked outta sight. I am still hoping someone with the pockets picks up the IP and improves on that system.

I'd appreciate a hybrid system wherein the battery was held inside the fame somewhere and a power cable ran through the stay to the derailleur and everything else was wireless, but figuring out all the correct lengths of e-tubes you needed to wire the shifter, battery, derailleur(s) all to the DI2 hub thing was a pain in the ass on aftermarket setups.

Really wish Di2 mounting in the front triangle would have caught on. Makes total sense now that most frames have frame storage and being able to run the derailleur off the big battery on ebikes.
